Amaju Pinnick NFF Boss Receives Delta Media Award

The President of Nigeria Football Federation NFF ,  Mr Amaju Melvin Pinnick on Thursday July 30th 2020 received the prestigious Delta Grassroots Media Icon Award of Excellence from the Delta Guild of lndigenous Newspaper Publishers DGINP , in Warri Delta State  at the Brown Hill Event Centre  on Elf-  road near Shell Industrial Area Office Ogunu. 
Mr. Femi Odonmeta ,the President of the Delta Guild of Indigenous Publishers, who presented the award , in his speech noted with great excitement that the    Guild of Indigenous Publishers found 
Mr Amaju Melvin Pinnick worthy for the Excellence Media Award in Delta South Senatorial District  because over the years he has proven himself as a man of dignified personality, highly respected across board  in our county Nigeria ,  and even  beyond  the shores of our land  in the commity of nations as a global citizen. 
Mr Femi Odonmeta ,the Guild's  President ,onbehalf of the highly powered delegation  stated in  the brief but memorable occasion that the Delta Guild of Indigenous Newspaper Publishers is an exclusive group of  Respected , Mature and Responsible  Deltans in the business of  Publishing lndigenous Newspaper/ Magazines with the primary mandate  of disseminating quality and  objective  information to and fro the grassroots through developmental journalism. 
 Speaking further, the  Group President explained to the  Special Guest/ Awardee  Mr Amaju Pinnick and  the audience present  saying  : " As Media Executives we have been engrossed in promoting and showcasing the developmental strides  of both the government as well as  the laudable contributions of both corporate organisation and individuals that have distinguished themselves as  formidable partners in the development process " .
However, the Guild President, Mr. Femi Odonmeta remarked in the award speech  that :  " as critical stakeholders ,we have, in  exercise of our oversight functions, have been carefully  following  Mr Amaju Melvin Pinnick's  sporting activities in Delta State, Nigeria and beyond and we have found him worthy for the Prestigous  annual  Excellence Media  lcon Award, Delta South 2020.
The Group President  While disclosing more details as reasons why the they  picked Amaju Pinnick as the best choice  for the award , added :      "the Group is also aware of plans ahead by the Nigeria Football Federation NFF  under the humble leadership of Amaju Pinnick to put Smiles  on the faces of football clubs in Nigrria by providing them with palliatives and COVID - 19  equipment " .
Mr Odonmeta the Group President in his summation expressed  the belief that the token of honour conferred on Amaju Pinnick represents both an appreciation and a passionate appeal for him to do more  by increasing  the level of his goodwill and service to humanity which is the virtue for which he is known. 
 Mr Amaju Pinnick, President Nigeria Football Federation NFF, the recipient of  the 2020 Delta  South  Excellence Media Icon  award who was visibly elated in his acceptance speech thanked God Almighty the father of all mercies and the preserver of every living soul for the opportunity of the auspicious occasion. 
 Mr Amaju Pinnick the NFF boss described the award  as  special  to him because he is a Warri boy and a Delta Son and  the award is coming from Warri ,my  root ,which makes  it to me , original,  genuine,  peculiar, unique and very close to my heart , he said. 
 Continuing he said : " In all modesty, I wish to  assert that  no matter how highly placed we may be , there is always  the need to tap into your roots which is very important in the affairs of human living. ".
While thanking the Group for founding him worthy  for the award Amaju Pinnick said :  " l must appreciate the Guild , for singling me out for this honour,  in my estimation  , I consider it  priceless 
  in the closet of my heart. .".
 Amaju who observed that the award  is a call to service and to be of higher responsibity  to societal needs said :  "  even though I was not expecting the award, I  accept it whole- heartedly    with a promise , God helping me ,  I will be spurred to  do more than l have done before to  be of higher  responsibility  to humanity  before  this award came 
.
While  commending  the Group for their courage in  covering news across board  in this period of COVID -19 Amaju Pinnick specifically  hailed   Mr. Femi Odonmeta , the President of the Guild for his unquenchable passion for the pen profession,and for demonstrating leadership amongst his pearls.
 Amaju who assured the Group that he will continue to partner  with them  ,added that, nothing will stop the Guild  from driving her 
 bigger dreams to fruition  with the zeal  of Mr Femi Femi Odonmenta as the man at the helms of affairs.  
Speaking professionally on the need to raise the bar ,  Amaju tasked journalists  in general to embrace in-depth reporting to  create a more balanced news environment  and a well informed  reading audience. 
While Speaking as a Warri boy to the home based on the need for people to be their brother's keeper   Amaju said : " as much as possible let us avoid hate speech,  let us learn to be our brothers keeper,  be supportive to one another. ,Warri is our home , let us contribute our quota to compliment Government effort  in taking the city to more enviable heights, east or West home is the best , he concluded.

The Institute prides itself on maintaining a safe and conducive academic environment for learning, innovation, and professional development in the oil and gas sector. The management in clear terms described the publication as the work of “unscrupulous elements seeking to sow discord and cast aspersions on the steady infrastructural development PTI has recorded in recent years.” As a center of excellence in petroleum training and manpower development, PTI has, under its current administration, seen remarkable transformation in terms of physical infrastructure, digital modernization, and student welfare programs. The Institute continues to attract local and international recognition for its cutting-edge research and high-impact training curriculum.
