General Abugor Commends Gov. Okowa , Congratulates The Ovie of Idjerhe Kingdom , Over Staff of Office

General John Abugor an illustrious son of Idjerhe Kingdom who is also a  Chieftain of the People's Democratic Party in Ethiope West  LGA  yesterday commended the laudable effort of Governor Okowa of Delta State  for graciously directing the Deputy Governor Barrister Kingsley Otuaro to  issue Staff of office to HRM Monday Arthur Whiskey , Udurhie l the Ovie of Idjerhe Kingdom. 

General Abugor who spoke during the ceremony  noted in his  Statement that the wide jubilation which greeted the emergence of Udurhie I is an expression of the fact that the people are indeed happy that the Kingdom  have finally put paid to the issue of the vacant stool since the former king joined his ancestors. 

He  therfore congratulated Udurhie l the Ovie of Idjerhe  Kingdom on the auspicious moment of the issuing of Staff of Office to him by the Deputy Governor. 

Speaking further Abugor said:  " We the people of Idjerhe Kingdom are happy to have a very modest and seasoned material from the ivory tower to ascend the throne of the Idjerhe as our  royal  father. "

Continuing he asserted:  "  This is a call to all the goood  people of Idjerhe Kingdom, for them to know that what we  need to do henceforth is for all hands to be on deck to move the the kingdom to greater heights in one accord without any acrimony in the overall interest of all stakeholders.  "

He explained that if every body in the kingdom contribute their quota , we are all as important to the kingdom the way all parts  of the body are  important to man, because the  nose cannot do the work of mouth, the  legs  cannot do the work of hand , while the ears  cannot do the work of eye .

He stressed that the above illustration clearly shows that everyone is important and needed in the development quest of Idjerhe Kingdom. 

According to him,  as human beings , we are  free to play different  roles  in the process of making a king ,  but the scriptures made it  abundantly clear that only   God almighty is the one who actualizes the crowning and peaceful reign of a king .

While harping further  on the fundamental  neccestiy of Unity, Abugor said :  " the people succeeded in all they were doing at Babel in the Tower Construction Project until disunity set in, remarking that , with unity on their there us nothing like impossibility  in the lexicography of  Idjerhe kingdom. 

General John Abugor also thanked RT Hon. Halims Agoda and Hon. Chief John Nani for the supportive role they played on behalf of the entire kingdom  in ensuring that the coronation and the issuing of the Staff of Office to Udurhie l is done successfully to the glory of God without any rancour or impediment.
