Niger Delta Group Describes Civil Society Organisation Forum Legal Action Against NDDC/MNDA as Irrational

The leadership of Peace Development Security and Humanitarian Rights Association of  Niger Deltans has described the Civil Society Organisation Forum Court restrain order on suit  number ABJ/CS/617/2020  against the NDDC Interim Management Committee IMC/ Ministry of Niger Delta Affairs MNDA,  over allegation  of  N3billion contract fraud as irrational .

 The Humanitarian Group stated that they held  this view because, 

the  litigattion action of the  Forum   will stall the developmental process of   other relevant and paramount activities within the Niger Delta region. 

The Humanitarian Group in a Statement signed by Comrade Mike Jk Tiemo,  President,  Bishop Dr. Godwin Pinawei,  Vice President,    Comrade Lucky Ovigue Ohwahwa,  Secretary,                          Comrade Durojaiye Ogunsemore,  PRO, and  Comrade Sunny Anireto Assistant Publicity  Secretary, respectively and 

made available to Daily Independent ,

  urged the Civil Society Organisation to have a rethink and consider to set aside  their legal action to allow the federal  government constituted panel of inquiry to  do a thorough work to enable them  come up with the investigation findings which will determine the next action to be taken .

 

 Comrade Tiemo the  Group president stressed that the multiplicity of court actions and other related actions  against the  NDDC/MNDA is creating a vacuum that is derailing the region from concentrating on the genuine  overdue   paramount and vital issues of the overall development of the region. 

Tiemo, the Humanitarian activist  who  emphasised the need to free the agencies from undue litigations said:  "  This is an era of unification of all the people  of the Niger Delta to address the main  issue of denials of the heir apparents of the region which cannot be ignored as the goose that lays the golden egg,

classified as the national cake. 

While taking the Zamfara gold mine as a case study,  the group president said: " The Zamfara state action on the management of gold is the ratification and correction  of injustice done by some past administrations which have given birth to the commencement of restructuring that will  project a better one Nigeria. 

According to Comrade Mike Jk Tiemo , the NDDC and the Ministry of Niger Delta Affairs should be strengthened for the rapid and accelerated growth of the Niger Delta,  through our collective effort  and contribution  of our  individual quota  to the  betterment of all Niger Deltans without any action that will jeopardise the process. 

While making his submission the group president observed :                " there is so much official assignment to be done before the end of this year 2020 in area of projects delivering  and addressing vital issues  that concerns the well  being of  the Niger Delta. 

Finally ,the group urged all Civil Society Organisation to join hands with  the numerous agitators to actualize the developmental objective of the Niger Delta region in line with the road map drawn by  the  Federal government  and the South South meeting agenda in Port Harcourt. recently.
