CHIEF WELLINGTON BOBO, COMMENDS DESOPADEC FOR SKILL ACADEMY

High Chief Wellington Bobo, the Oroupawei of Gbaramatu Kingdom has commended Evang. Michael Diden aka Ejele Chairman DESOPADEC board, and Chief Bashorun Askia Ogieh MD/CEO of DESOPADEC for the laudable effort of the commission in founding it necessary to conceive the idea of a Skill Academy to train our teaming young graduates girls and boys in productive vocation that would make them successful entrepreneurs.

The populist Chief who spoke in Warri, Delta State  remarked that the concept of Skill Academy muted by DESOPADEC if properly handled will produce amazing positive result that will change our narrative and mindset towards how we view issues of empowerment particularly in government establishment .

According to Chief Bobo, the elder statesman, if the government and the people understands the paradigm shift in what is needed then training would be geared towards needed services in our society, because the colonial masters opened the schools to teach us their language to be able to communicate with us,  to that extent the purpose of the establishment of those school has been achieved.

However Chief Bobo continued “now in our era, it is no longer enough to learn grammar but what is need is skill that can transform the totality of man and the immediate society,.

Speaking further he enjoined other agencies ministries and department of government to follow the enviable example of DESOPADEC by laying emphasis on skill acquisition in practical terms without lip service.

Chief Bobo noted that the Delta State Government under the leadership of His Excellency, Senator Dr. Arthur Infeanyi Okowa has done well in the area of skill acquisition and his effort in technical education is quite commendable.

In summation, Chief Bobo advised the successful pioneer candidates of the DESOPADEC skill academy to make good use of the opportunity, so that they can become shining example of the brilliant idea of the current board of DESOPADEC management.
