Gov. Okowa Inaugurates Obule, Udu, Idiomor,Tiemo, Others As Justices Of Peace

His Excellency, Senator Dr. Arthur Ifeanyi Okowa the governor of Delta State on Monday, March 1st 2021 at the High Court of Justice, Warri swore in Comrade Francis Obule – Delta State Co-ordinator of PDP Mobilizers, Chief Sylvester Emuobonuvie Udi KSC, Sir Abel Chukwuneku Idiomor – Deputy Director, Planning Research and Statistics -  DESOPADEC, Rev. Clement Doyah Tiemo General Overseer, Luminary Gospel Mission Int’l Inc. Warri and others as Justices of Peace in Delta State.Hon. Justice P.O. Onajite Kuejubola who represented governor Okowa at the brief but memorable public function advised the newly sworn in Justices of Peace to maintain the integrity of their mandate to serve in the exalted office of Justice of Peace.Justice Kuejubola remarked that, governor Okowa approved their appointment as Justices of Peace to bring the dispensation of justice closer to the people in the hope that they will live up to expectation of their calling.She stressed that government also expect the new Justices of Pace to use the power vested on them to reduce crime in their respective localities across the State in a very transparent manner to the constellation of the government and good people of Delta State.Justice Kuejubola asserted that, the governor believes that all the Justices of Peace sworn in have the requisite knowledge and capacity to suppress chaos, or any duty that may be assigned to them by the governor or any relevant organ of the State.Hon. Comrade Francis Obule – J.P, Mrs. Edukogho Regina – J.P, Chief Sylvester Emuobonuvie Udi – J.P, Sir Abel Chukwuneku Idiomor – J.P, and Rev. Doyah Tiemo – J.P who spoke on behalf of the newly appointed Justices of Pace assured governor Okowa that they will not betray the confidence reposed on them by the Delta State government.They solemnly promised to make good use of the instruments of the office of Justice of Peace to improve on the template of peace in the State so that all Deltans can continue to live harmoniously with their neighbors without rancor or acrimonyComrade Francis Obule and Chief Sylvester Emuobonuvie specifically thanked governor Okowa for giving them the opportunity to serve as Justices of Peace promising that they will build on the Peace blueprint of the Stronger Delta vision.

Until then, their report remains a reckless misrepresentation aimed at misleading the public.” PTI clarified that all its lecture halls, laboratories, workshops, and hostels are structurally sound, properly ventilated, electrically powered, and routinely maintained. The Institute prides itself on maintaining a safe and conducive academic environment for learning, innovation, and professional development in the oil and gas sector. The management in clear terms described the publication as the work of “unscrupulous elements seeking to sow discord and cast aspersions on the steady infrastructural development PTI has recorded in recent years.” As a center of excellence in petroleum training and manpower development, PTI has, under its current administration, seen remarkable transformation in terms of physical infrastructure, digital modernization, and student welfare programs. The Institute continues to attract local and international recognition for its cutting-edge research and high-impact training curriculum. While assuring stakeholders, parents, and the general public of its unwavering commitment to the safety and welfare of its students, the management reiterated its call for responsible journalism and urged media practitioners to verify facts before rushing to publication. “We remain focused on our mandate and will not be distracted by smear campaigns designed to derail our progress.”
