Ika Youths Hails President Buhari, Decribes Irabor As A Worthy Ambassador---------------- Engr. Raymond Adaigbe Ika Youth President

The leadership of Ika Youth Association (Otu Uche Onye Edue) Warri Branch yesterday hailed President Muhammadu Buhari for appointing  General Lucky Irabor as the new Chief of Defence Staff and for promoting him to the rank of General. The statement described the appointment as the best thing to happen in the military hierarchy in recent time.The Group in their official statement made available to Vanguard newspaper also described General Lucky Irabor as an illustrious son and a worthy Ambassador of the Ika Nation who has done so much in the contribution of his quota to our nation building effort through his prowess in the Nigerian Army.Engr. Raymond Adaigbe, the President of Ika Youth Association Warri Branch who spoke to a Group of selected Journalist at the conference centre of Petroleum Training Institute (PTI) Effurun shortly after a stake holders meeting remarked that the Ika people at home and in diaspora are grateful to President Buhari over the appointment of General Irabor as Chief of Defence Staff.Engr. Raymond Adaigbe the Group President pointed out that the choice of General Irabor for the post of Chief of Defence is borne out of his earlier accomplishments in his sojourn as a professional soldier who has committed so much to the success of the wellbeing of all Nigerians and Project Nigeria.According to Engr. Raymond Adaigbe, Nigeria is lucky to have him on the saddle of the leadership of our war architecture because, he is a tested and proven war general that will surely give Nigeria victory over all forms of criminality and other social vices.Mr. Kenneth Omojeva, the Secretary General of Ika Youth Association (Otu Uche Onye Edue)  Warri Branch, who also spoke expressed the group’s appreciation for the rare and uncommon gesture over the appointment of General Irabor as the new Chief of Defence Staff. Speaking further, he noted: ‘‘President Buhari made a good decision by picking on General Irabor to serve in the Defence portfolio. Judging by the pedigree of his earlier antecedents in the various posts he held, he is a round peg in a round hole fit for the assignment now squarely on his shoulders’’.Mr. Kenneth Omojeva, the Group scribe emphasized in his congratulatory message that Lucky Irabor have the cooperation, the support and prayers of the Ika people for him to succeed in the high profile job of Chief of Defence StaffOmojeva remarked in his summation that: ‘‘Nigerians should not leave President Muhammadu Buhari in the lursh but all hands must be on deck to assist him to achieve the Next Level Agenda because Nigeria belongs to all of us.
