OGULAGHA COMMUNITY ELDERS SYNOD CONGRATULATES TOMPOLO @ 50BY

 The Ogulagha Community elders synod yesterday congratulated High Chief Government Oweizide Ekpomupolo aka Tompolo who celebrated his golden Jubilee anniversary on the 12th of April 2021.The Ogulagha Community Elders official statement made available to Vanguard Newspaper correspondent noted that they are indeed grateful to God for preserving the life of the celebrant for greater task ahead.The Group Executives, Elder Fredrick Ingla, Chairman, Capt William Mienbra, Vice Chairman, Mr. Calabar Sunboy, Secretary General and Mr. Henry Agediga,  PRO in their separate speeches appreciated Tompolo for his fight against injustice that is meted against the Ijaw Nation in particular and Niger Delta people in general.The Group Executives emphasized that, recently when Ogulagha Community was in skirmishes and turmoil, in great need, Tompolo came to their rescue and brokered a truce which ushered in the prevailing peace they are enjoying today in Ogulagha community.The Ogulagha Community Elders synod executives posited that High Chief Government Ekpomupolo a.k.a  Tompolo is a stabilizing  factor in Ogulagha Community, hence their prayer is that God  should give him more wisdom and understanding to carry on in his service to mankind and humanity.Chief Council Guwor, the Olotu of Ogulagha Kingdom who is also a patron of the elders synod in his speech asserted that High Chief Government Oweizide Ekpomupolo aka Tompolo is a selfless leader and philanthropist indeed who is always fighting for the interest of his people.According to Chief Guwor, the Olotu of Ogulagha Kingdom, if not for the timely intervention of Tompolo, what happened at Ogulagha would have been very devastating.Speaking further, Chief Guwor said “As Tompolo is celebrating his 50th birthday, we the Ogulagha Community elders Synod join thousand of his well-wishers to celebrate and appreciate him for the laudable role he has been  playing in the development of Gbaramatu Kingdom and Ogulagha Community in particular and Ijaw nation in general.Chief Wellington Bobo the Oroupawei of Gbaramatu Kingdom, patron of Ogulagha Community elders synod and Chief J. E. Nadifa Jp also a patron of the group who made their contribution said “on behalf of the Ogulagha community elders synod, we appreciate Tompolo on the occasion of his golden jubilee, we salute his courage and might in the pursuit of the desire of the Ijaw ethnic nationality and the Niger Delta at large.”Chief Bobo and chief Nadifa who are both patrons of the Ogulagha Community elders Synod maintained that: “Tompolo is an illustrious son of the Ijaw Nation that must be celebrated by any one with Ijaw DNA in his blood”.Mr. Richard Akuna, the assistant secretary and others who also spoke concurred with the earlier speakers that Tompolo at 50 is an enigma that must be celebrated by all lovers of freedom and justice irrespective of their ethnSic affiliations because the man has given all his life to the struggle for the betterment of the Niger Delta which has suffered so much as a result of the negative effect of oil exploitation and exploration.
