...CIISM New Board To Be Inaugurated At The Annual Conference In Asaba, June 12.

The Chartered Institute of Information and Management Strategy, CIISM, has announced the appointment of the Executive Assistant to the Governor of Delta State on Communications, Dr Barr Fred Latimore Oghenesivbe, JP, as Vice President.

CIISM President, Prof Paul Bolorunduro, fciism, in a letter received on 17th May, 2021 conveyed the Institute's approval appointing Okowa's EAC into CIISM board as Vice President, for a two year tenure. 

He  said Oghenesivbe's appointment is in recognition of his enviable contributions to the development of human knowledge, his professional track records as a renowned information and communication strategist, who over the years demonstrated uncommon commitment towards advancing his career through several published articles and participation in human capacity develooment programmes.

The institute noted that the new Vice President of CIISM introduced and sustained the famous annual Delta State Strategic Communication Workshop sponsored by government, to develop the communication skills of political appointees, media professionals and journalists serving in Delta State, under governor Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa's administration.

"CIISM has approved your appointment as Vice President, to assist the incumbent President, Dr Peter Mrakpor, SAN and the Board in actualising set out goals of this reputable institute.

"The Institute is proud of your enviable contributions towards the advancement of human knowledge in the field of information and communication strategy management. 

"The now famous annual Delta State Strategic Communication Workshop, revealed your total commitment towards human capacity and professional skills development and should be sustained by government as an integral part of state policy for skills and vocational training.

"You will be sworn-in with the new President and other board members of CIISM at the Institute's Annual Conference on June 12, 2021 at Orchid Hotel Asaba.

"Congratulations on your board appointment, and on the occasion of your 59th birthday anniversary on16th May, 2021.

"The board and members of this Institute wish you longevity, good health and greater accomplishments in your future endeavors," CIISM added.

Oghenesivbe is a fellow of CIISM and Member of the International Communication Association, ICA. He is also a Member of the Nigerian Bar Association, NBA; Full Member of the Nigerian Institute of International Affairs, NIIA; a Fellow of the Civilian Institute of Democratic Administration, fcida, American Political Science association, APSA, International Political Science Association, IPSA; Patron, Wisdom Class of the Delta State University, Abraka, a Scholar of Mass Communication at the University of Lagos, and a political resource person and media crisis manager, etcetera.

He holds several academic degrees and professional certificates from reputable Universities, including the University of Lagos, University of Benin, Enugu State University of Science and Technology and professional bodies.
