35 Years Of Service: Mrs Ukori Retires, Celebrates With Delta NUJ .. As Mrs Ukori thanked Staff of Federal Ministry of Information, NOA, Others on Support. ....As Veteran Journalist enjoined former Staff on Cordial relationship with successor.

The Head of Centre, Federal Ministry of Information, Delta State, Comrade Mrs Theresa Ukori yesterday celebrated her retirement after she had put in 35 years of meritorious Service in  the Federal Ministry of Information, Delta State.


Our reporter was one of the media organizations that graced the occasion yesterday, being 2nd June, 2021 at Federal Secretariat Complex, Asaba, Delta State joined the Celebration of Mrs Theresa Ukori alongside the staff of the Federal Ministry of  Information Chapel of the Delta State Council of Nigerian Union of Journalists, NUJ.


Mrs Ukori at the event appreciated the kind gesture of the Staff of the Federal Ministry, her Professional colleagues, NUJ members, Senior officers of the Ministry and other sister Agencies at the Federal Ministry, that graced the occasion. 


The Veteran Journalist stated that, it was a thing of joy to have had those that took her unawares and put up a great celebration for her retirement while she then prayed for everyone of them. According to her, "Celebration will not  depart from the families of those who celebrated me in this joyous moment of my retirement from Service".


She then enjoined her former  Staff to be as usual be  completely loyal to any Senior officer of the Ministry that will replace her position, that the Staff should  work in harmony with their new Boss then prayed that God protect, guide and elevate them all in every of their life endeavors and  work career.


Former Federal Ministry of Information Head of Center, Comrade Tracy Omamode Ikolomi, a Deputy Director of NOA and Member of the Chapel, presented some gifts from NUJ  to Mrs Theresa Ukori, then  prayed God to give her  a relaxing new chapter ahead.


While presenting the package, she said:  "Delta NUJ uses this medium to  pray for you that you will have   unlimited time to enjoy your life. May this next chapter of life bring you endless time to do the things you love!” 


 Also speaking is the Deputy Director of NOA, Comrade Patricia Nkiru Umunna prayed God to favour Ukori in all ramifications and live long to reap the good fruits of her labour.


She said: "Ma, you have served Nigeria diligently, may the Federal Government serve you better than you have served the country”.


 A Senior Staff of the Ministry, Foremost State Executive Member, Delta NUJ, Comrades Celestine Afokobah alongside other Staff,  Tamara Febua appreciated the gestures, while praying for God's blessings upon the life of the Celebrant, Mrs Theresa Ukori. 


Mrs Ukori's Staff and other members of NUJ at the event Stated: "Ma your immense contributions to information dissemination and management in Delta State are highly valued, your impacts in nation-building are well appreaciated . You have always been a wonderful and amazing Personality throughout your service years. You deserve to be celebrated”.

These claims are complete fabrications devoid of any evidence or truth.” Management further challenged Sahara Reporters to produce any verifiable photographic or video proof to substantiate its claims. > “If such conditions exist as alleged, Sahara Reporters should have no difficulty presenting concrete evidence. Until then, their report remains a reckless misrepresentation aimed at misleading the public.” PTI clarified that all its lecture halls, laboratories, workshops, and hostels are structurally sound, properly ventilated, electrically powered, and routinely maintained. The Institute prides itself on maintaining a safe and conducive academic environment for learning, innovation, and professional development in the oil and gas sector. The management in clear terms described the publication as the work of “unscrupulous elements seeking to sow discord and cast aspersions on the steady infrastructural development PTI has recorded in recent years.” As a center of excellence in petroleum training and manpower development, PTI has, under its current administration, seen remarkable transformation in terms of physical infrastructure, digital modernization, and student welfare programs. The Institute continues to attract local and international recognition for its cutting-edge research and high-impact training curriculum.
