Nani Calls for Unity, Peaceful Co-existence in Nigeria

 The Executive Director of Finance and Administration (EDFA) of the Delta State Oil 

Producing Areas Development Commission DESOPADEC, Chief Barr. John Obukowho Nani has 

called on Nigerians to promote peace and unity for the progress and development of Nigeria.

 Barr. Nani who made this call at the DESOPADEC Headquarters in Warri during the 

celebration of his 61st birthday organized by the staff of the Commission noted that with peace, 

unity and patriotism irrespective of tribe and religion Nigeria would be a better place, adding that 

with the available natural resources Nigeria would have rapid development.

 Chief Nani clearly stated that Nigeria’s problems could be solved with love, unity and 

patriotism, stressing that each person should put Nigeria first before personal interest as panacea 

to peace and development.

 According to him “Let us put Nigeria first in everything we do so that Nigeria can move 

forward, but in a situation where you only think of yourself while Nigeria is going down won’t 

help us. Let us work together to make Nigeria great”.

 He affirmed that it was unity, love and patriotism by some leaders and the support of the 

citizens that made these great countries such as the USA, China, Canada, South Korea, Singapore, 

Britain among others what they are today.

 “We can also make Nigeria great with unity and peaceful co-existence, this will make 

Nigeria a peaceful country for all of us”.

 Chief Nani urged DESOPADEC staff to continue to work as a team and co-operate with the 

management and Board for positive results and better performance.

 Hon. Nani urged everybody to work together in peace and unity for the betterment of the 

Commission.

 A member of the DESOPADEC Board representing Urhobo ethnic nationality, Olorogun 

Vincent Oyibode described Barr. Nani is a visionary and exemplary leader who promotes peace 

and unity, stressing that he is a man you can trust and always ready to assist. He said that Nani is 

a born leader who doesn’t discriminate.

 The Secretary to the EDFA Mrs. Ochuko Asaro said that Barr. Nani has exhibited good 

leadership qualities who always encourage you to improve on your education and service to the 

Commission.

She said that Nani has been very helpful for granting her the opportunity to acquire more 

professional certificates, stressing that she was quite grateful for Nani assistance and purposeful 

leadership.

The management in clear terms described the publication as the work of “unscrupulous elements seeking to sow discord and cast aspersions on the steady infrastructural development PTI has recorded in recent years.” As a center of excellence in petroleum training and manpower development, PTI has, under its current administration, seen remarkable transformation in terms of physical infrastructure, digital modernization, and student welfare programs. The Institute continues to attract local and international recognition for its cutting-edge research and high-impact training curriculum.
