Save Urhobo Youth Forum Drum Support For Chief Engr Daboner, Calls on PMB, Gov. Okowa to Give Him Appointment

The Leadership of  Save Urhobo Youth Forum SUYF, has again drummed support for Chief Engr. Daboner Arigbala Sonny JP Who based on academic qualification as a son of  the soil actually merited the appointment for the post of Principal /Chief Executive of the Petroleum Training lnstitute PTI Effurun.

The Save Urhobo Youth Forum shared the view that Chief Engr Daboner Arigbala Sonny as a thoroughbred academia from Uvwie Kingdom with intimidating track record of laurels from the Ivory tower,  cutting across the African continental shelf ought to have been considered for the post of PTI Principalship

 The Save Urhobo Youth Forum at the end of a Press Conference Organized in Effurun Delta State, came up with a communique  signed by Comrade Agadia Samuel Oghenegare , President and Comrade Cushione  , Secretary , which 

attested thus: 

" We the National Exco and the entire members of Save Urhobo Youth Forum hereby send a Save our Soul Compassionate appeal to His Excellency, President Muhammadu Buhari  and our amiable  Governor, Arthur  Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta State 

to use the instruments of their good offices to give an appointment to Chief Engr Daboner Arigbala Sonny, who have been a bridge builder in the affairs of PTI, Uvwie kingdom and Urhobo nation in general."

Comrade Agadia Samuel Oghenegare, the  President of the Save Urhobo Youth Forum while congratulating Dr Henry Adimula, the newly apointed Principal /Chief Executive of PTI noted that in 2015 Chief Engr Daboner Arigbala Sonny JP applied for the post of Principal of PTI, and he was the only qualified indigene of Uvwie kingdom but the powers that be denied him the opportunity as Dr Ibe Kachukwu the then Minister of State for Petroleum who preferred his friend sent a lobby group led by Olorogun Kenneth Gbagi to pacify him to mellow down.

Comrade Agadia Samuel Oghenegare the Save Urhobo Youth Forum President stated that before the 2015 episode, there was a crises  between the Effurun Development Committee and PTI which bothered on how the Community is being shortchanged regarding employment of junior staff, and the institution main gate was under lock and key until Chief Daboner Arigbala Sonny JP brokered a truce and the PTI management then under the leadership of Mr A J Orukele an lsoko man  appreciated his laudable effort..

The Save Urhobo Youth boss remarked that Chief Daboner Arigbala Sonny the eminently qualified bonafide son of the soil, waited patiently from 2015 till 2021 to reply as  he met the rejigged  preriquisites for the post of Principal in PTI Effurun yet, he was not considered as they brushed aside the spirit and letter  our local content ACT , which is a good and a  solid ground under which Chief Engr  Daboner Arigbala Sonny JP should have been considered for the Post of Principal of PTI.

The Save Urhobo Youth Forum President  

emphasized that Chief Engr Daboner Arigbala Sonny is an illustrious son of  Urhobo nation with a wealth of experience spanning his foray in NEPA, which later became PHCN, elf oil and finally SPDC before he retired meritoriously.

He made a strong appeal saying: " Once again we are calling on President Muhammadu Buhari and our amiable Governor Arthur Ifeanyi Okowa to fix Chief Engr Daboner Arigbala Sonny for an appointment  considering his wealth of experience to enable him contribute more of his quota to the development of Delta State in particular and Nigeria in general.

Going down the memory lane , Agadia the Urhobo Youth boss said:  " You may wish to recall that since 1975 which is about forty two years ago when PTI was established , the host Community which is Uvwiie kingdom have not tasted the post of Principal /Chief Executive of the Institute, stressing that Chief Daboner Arigbala Sonny JP the son of the soil who is qualified is denied twice  for no justifiable reasons.

Comrade Great Cushione  , the Secretary General  of Save Urhobo Youth Forum who also Spoke during the media interactive session noted:  

" All we are saying is that, our  illustrious son ,Chief Engr Daboner Arigbala Sonny JP should be drafted onboard to serve having been pushed aside from the post of Principal in PTI he should be given another appointment be, it State or federal."

Comrade Great Cushione the Save Urhobo Youth Forum scribe explained further saying :

" Chief Daboner Arigbala Sonny has been applying for the post of PTI Principal, with all the needed prerequisites, but he has been repeatedly denied, hence we are making this relevant point here and now that delibrate actions like this to disqualify a son of the soil on the platform of high wire politics With all  other relevant factors thrown to wind ,

 are avoidable pit falls with potential to spark off Community crises ."

Comrade Great Cushione advised that considering the length  Chief Engr Daboner Arigbala Sonny has gone so far, he is making a germane appeal instead of towing the path of violence for him to be given another appointment which in his opinion is the  proper way to  manage the situation  to forstall unnecessary braggadocios .

On a final note, Comrade Agadia, the Save  Urhobo Youth Group President, said : l humbly, congratulate Chief Engr Daboner Arigbala Sonny JP for making himself available to be of service to his father land .
