Royal Fathers of Okpe, Idjerhe, Oghara , Kingdoms Commends Gov. Okowa's Laudable Strides As He Pays One Day Working Visit to Commission a Harvest of Projects in their Domains ----Orodje Request Gov. Okowa to Upgrade STC to a Faculty of DELSU

His Excellency, Senator Dr Arthur Ifeanyi Okowa the Executive Governor of Delta State was  today Friday 6th August given a rousing welcome, as 

the Governor paid a one day working visit to Sapele ,ldjerhe and Oghara to

Commission some  newly constructed roads in Sapele and Idjrhe, while at Oghara he Commissioned the newly built  Modern  Market and the Ogini Grammar School  which he renamed  Ogini Model College due to the quality of infrastructure in the school


The Communities were agog as a loud ovation of  a  mamouth croud thundered the air each time the Governor arrived at different  designated points were he Commissioned the new  projects.




Governor Okowa in his first point of call while making    his Commissioning  speech in Sapele shortly before cutting the tape at  Omene road, Lawrence- lzzu  road and Laboard road  said he is satisfied with the quality of work done by the contractors  because the roads as verified by the ministry of works , Urban Renewal , are  all done to standard engineering  specification.


The Road Master Governor assured the 

People of Sapele, Idjerhe and Oghara  that his administration is prepared to do more within the limit of available resources as service delivery to the people remains the core objective of his Government.


The Governor promised to look into the viability of  a request made by HRM, Orhue l the Orodje of Okpe kingdom  to upgrade the Sapele Technical College to

a Faculty of Delta State University, DELSU Abraka.


Governor Okowa also assured the Sapele Local Government Chairman

Chief Eugene lnoaghan , Who earlier in his welcome address appealed to the Governor to take over the completion of the eight  km Ogorode road and the Major Bowen road that was initiated by DESOPADEC.




 HRM, Orhue l the Orodje of Okpe and  Okakuro Tom Anirah who spoke onbehalf of the Sapele Okpe  Community commended the Workaholic Governor for remembering Sapele that was abandoned for long.

However, like the Proverbial Olivertwist

they urged the Governor to remember Sapele as a faculty of a full fledged University.


At  Idjerhe ,where the Governor Commissioned Onosa and Sargin roads

His Royal Majesty, Udurhie l the Ovie of Idjerhe kingdom and Chief John Nani the EDFA DESOPADEC appreciated the Governor for doing so much for the Idjerhe People.


The next point of call was Oghara the headquarters of Ethiope West Local Government Area where the Governor Commissioned a modern market and Ogoni Grammar School to the constellation of the people.


The Chairman of Ethiope West Hon. Nelson Owoso, Hon. Erhiatake lbori, House of Assembly Member representing Ethiope West were all on ground to give the Governor a State welcome.


HRM ,Noble Eshemitan, Uku Ogharaname , the Ovie of Oghara kingdom and the Oghara Traditional Council of Chief expressed their 

appreciation for the magnanimity of Governor Okowa towards Oghara kingdom.

The management in clear terms described the publication as the work of “unscrupulous elements seeking to sow discord and cast aspersions on the steady infrastructural development PTI has recorded in recent years.” As a center of excellence in petroleum training and manpower development, PTI has, under its current administration, seen remarkable transformation in terms of physical infrastructure, digital modernization, and student welfare programs.
