Hon Dr Peter Mrakpor, one of the Prominent   Delta 2023 Governorship

Aspirants  under the platform of the PDP has disclosed that DC-2023 Which recently screened and proned  the Governorship Aspirants from Delta Central to five candidates only invited and  concentrated their screening exercise  on the financial   members 

 of DC -23  as he was not invited because he is not a financial Member of

the Group.


Hon Dr Peter Mrakpor who spoke to selected  Pressmen  at the Ughelli township Stadium during the Yoruba Day celebration on Saturday 18th December 2021 stated during the interactive session that he was not invited for screening because he is not a financial Member, adding that DC-23 is just one of the numerous pressure groups in the PDP . 



According to Dr Mrakpor, the immediate past Delta State Attorney Genereral and Commissioner for Justice affirmed that the fact that he was not screened has not waned his preparation towards the Delta State Governorship seat.


His words : "Concerning my preparation, all I have to tell you is that everything is in the hand of God. We are confident that God who  knows better what is good for His People will support my ambition to become Governor of Delta State come 2023."


While answering a question on the assumption that his absence at the DC-

23  was interpreted by many that he was out of the race Mrakpor said : " " That one sided decision of DC-23 does not disturb My ambition and preparation  in any way, because I am still very much in the business of running  for the Delta Governorship and I will put all my efforts to the end.



When asked to tell Deltans his message

Dr Peter Mrakpor said : " I have been speaking to Deltans at different fora . I advised all Deltans to obtain their PVC, they should get more involved in the electctionerring  process to make our democracy more robust.'


Dr Peter Mrakpor who laid more emphasis on the need for increased people's participation  said :" It is very important that we all get involved in politics the only road to good Government.This is very important because it is what we wish for ourselves that  that we will get at the end of the day ."


While making a summary assessment of

the Okowa's administration, Dr Peter Mrakpor noted : " Governor Okowa has done very well. As a State we need to build on the

succeses recorded under the "Roadmaster Governor' at the moment. As a Person, the desire from my inner reccesses   to maintain the tempo and template of Governor Okowa's developmental strides is the basic reason I decided to run, he concluded."
