Dr Fred Oghenesivbe Latimore, the Executive Assistant Communication EAC to Governnor Okowa of Delta have stated that , after perusing the certified true copy of the Court Order in Suit No: FHC/ABJ/CS/715/2022, Between Moses Ogbe, Ogobiri Timinrpere (Defendants) And The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, Rt Hon Sheriff Francis Oborevwori Orohwedor (Defendants), it became crystal clear that the alleged restraining order currently trending on social media platforms is mischievous, misleading and a deliberate misrepresentation of facts contained in the Order of Court dated 1st day of June, 2022.
The Governnor Aide explained that
for the avoidance of doubt, the Orders issued at ABUJA under the Seal of the Court and the hand of the presiding Judge, on the 1st day of June, 2022, and after hearing Ibrahim Idris, SAN, J.D Jefia, Osita Alele, Sarafadeen Salimo, for the Plaintiffs; the Court ordered that the Defendants (PDP, INEC, OBOREVWORI) “shall within 7 days from the Service on them of the order of this Court, file in this Court an Affidavit to show cause why prayers 3, 4 and 5, shall not be granted by the Court.”
Latimore made it succinctly clear in
his words: "As you read this piece, you need to understand that the Court did not grant the Applicants reliefs, meaning
all the falsehood they peddled has crumbled like a pack of card."
Continuing, the Delta State Communication Executive said:
"In the light of the above, an Order was granted accelerating the hearing of Motion Exparte and its consideration vis-a-vis the Affidavit to show cause ordered to be filled by the Defendants.
All Sheriffied Deltans, party faithfuls and teeming supporters of our Principal, Rt Hon Sheriff Francis Oborevwori should discard all media propaganda by detractors until the final position of the Court the statement ended.
