Ambassador Hope George Gov. Okowa Political Aide Commends PMB , Congratulates Tompolo Over Surveillance Contract

Ambassador Hope George, former

Vice President,  National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN ) , Currently the Senior Special Assistant Political  to Governnor Okowa  of Delta  State has Commended

the wise decision of President Muhammadu Buhari for graciously allowing the NNPCL to award the Pipeline  surveillance contract  to High Chief Government Oweizide Ekpomupolo aka Tompolo and also Congratulate Tompolo for bringing this honor to the Niger Delta .



Ambassador Hope George, the Senior Governor Aide who is  the  Chairman, Caucus of Chairmen (NYCN) South South zone and former Chairman, National Youth Council of Nigeria , Delta State Chapter,  speaking  in his offíce 

at the Governors offíce Annex Warri

stated that after consultation with other

Youth leaders across the  South South zone from Akwa lbom  State, Cross Rivers  State, Rivers State,Bayelsa State, Edo State and Delta State , we decided to convene this Press Conference to

commend President Muhammadu Buhari for his positive disposal to the whole idea of seeking a home approach

to the problems of oil theft in the Niger Delta region.




Hope George ,the Youth Ambassador cum Senior Governor Aide also appreciated  Chief  Timipre Sylva ,

the Hon Minister of State for Petroleum

who worked  assiduously round the clock in collaboration with other relevant stakeholders  to ensure that one of our own , High Chief  Government Oweizide Ekpomupolo aka Tompolo who is our pride  and illustrious son of the Niger Delta gets the surveillance contract  because he has contributed

meaningfully both to the  struggle and also to the development of the Niger Delta region .


He added:  "The attributes highlighted

above makes Chief Tompolo  the best

person at the moment  to manage the surveillance contract under the prevailing exigencies as  conceptualized and visualized by the federal Government."


  The former Delta Youth boss while expressing optimism that the  days  of gloom for our oil based economy and polluted environment will soon be over,

with Tompolo at the wheel of the Pipeline Surveillance said: " Soon , in no distant time we are expecting a better Niger Delta environment free from the negative impacts of oil theft , pollution and an improved production capacity for our national economy to rebound."

Polical explained that  Tompolo believes

so much in the Niger Delta and in one Nigeria , noting that , Tompolo  will work with all the Youth stakeholders to  ensure the success of the scope of

assignment given to him .


Hope George who stressed the need

to thank his boss for the significant role

he is playing in achiving the success recorded so far, remarked: " Let me recognize and appreciate His Excellency, Senator Dr Arthur Ifeanyi Okowa, the indifatigable Executive Governor of Delta State, and Vice Presidential Aspirant of the People's Democratic Party for standing firm

to ensure that all is well with the surveillance   job in the interest of all."



He called on all the  Niger Delta Youths

across board   and beyond

to embrace the initiative which he

describe as the dawn of better things to come which should not be treated with

disdain or kidgloves  for any reason.


While advising those who are yet to

embrace the concept as visualized by

the Federal Government he pleaded:  "My special  appeal goes to His Excellency,

Governor Alakurin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu (SAN) of Ondo State to have a rethink over his posture on   this surveillance issue and give his support for the  making of a  better  and  a greater Nigeria in  the overall interest of all.
