Ughelli South PDP Campaign Councill Congratulates RT Hon Sheriff Oborevwori, Delta State Governor - Elect

The Leadership of  Ughelli South PDP Campaign Councill has congratulated 

the Delta State Governor - Elect, RT Hon Sheriff Francis Orohwedor Oborevwori 

who overwhelmlly  won the Delta State gubernatorial election   that  was held  in the 25 Local Governments Areas  of the State on the 18th of March 2023 with a very wide margin.


The statement in the same vein also felicitated with Hon Festus Utuama , the Delta State House of Assembly Member-Elect  to represent the People of Ughelli South Constituency  in the Delta State House of Assembly for his well deserved electoral victory.


Hon Paul Etaga, the Coordinator, Ughelli South PDP Campaign Councill  in his congratulatory message  gave glory to God Almighty Who made all things possible, he also thanked His Excellency, Senator Dr Arthur Ifeanyi Okowa , the Executive Governor of Delta State,for standing firm  as the pivotal pillar which supported the Oborevwori for Governor dream from conceptual   stage to the  high wire Political  routing and the  succesfull victory at the polls.


Hon  Paul Etaga pointed out that  Senator Dr  Arthur Ifeanyi Okowa the amiable Governor of Delta State deserve

double accolades because he went the extra mile traversing every nook and cranny of the State  in order to garner victory for the Governor Elect, RT Hon Sheriff Francis Orohwedor Oborevwori and all  the other    PDP  candidates Who emerged winners   by securing the mandate of the electorates with his Political dexterity and warm affection with Deltans across board.





Hon  Paul Etaga, the Ughelli South PDP Campaign Coordinator also appreciated the commendable and   unquantifiable effort of  Olorogun John  Oguma who   Played a fatherly role to support the Governor -Elect during the campaign and election process.  



Hon Etaga, the Ughelli South PDP Campaign Coordinator also commended   relevant stakeholders ,

 particularly  the PDP faithfuls who stood firm and refused to decamp during the Tsunami of People leaving the party in droves to the opposition party but rather, they remained loyal and commited  to  work assiduously round the clock to deliver the Governor -Elect 

to the glory of God. 


Hon Etaga expressed optimism that RT Hon Sheriff Francis Orohwedor Oborevwori , the Delta State Governor-

Elect ,having  shown the stuff he is made of as a competent Speaker in the Delta State House of Assembly, we are very  safe to assert that " Our Governor - Elect "  have the    capacity to add value to governance and whatever  it will take

to move Delta State to greater heights

to the constellation of all.


Speaking further, Hon Etaga said:

" From my vantage position as a one time   legislator at the Local Government level as a Councellor, before I became  the Chairman of Ughelli South LGA , l must  emphasize that with the level of the understanding  and knowledge of the workings of the House of Assembly,  which the Governor - Elect, RT Hon Sheriff Francis Orohwedor Oborevwori have acquired, he  is sure to  have a very robust working relationship with the Delta State House of Assembly for the accelerated growth and development of our great and dear big heart State.

PTI Defends Its Reputation Against Misleading Sahara Media Report By Wilson Macaulay Effurun, Delta State July 12 2025 The Management of the prestigious Petroleum Training Institute (PTI), Effurun, has vehemently refuted a sensational and malicious report published by Sahara Reporters on July 10, 2025, which alleged that students of the foremost oil and gas institution study in “flooded classrooms and snake-infested hostels” despite a ₦39 billion budget. In a strongly worded statement issued on Friday, the management declared: > “There are absolutely no flooded classrooms or snake-infested hostels within the Institute. These claims are complete fabrications devoid of any evidence or truth.” Management further challenged Sahara Reporters to produce any verifiable photographic or video proof to substantiate its claims. > “If such conditions exist as alleged, Sahara Reporters should have no difficulty presenting concrete evidence. Until then, their report remains a reckless misrepresentation aimed at misleading the public.” PTI clarified that all its lecture halls, laboratories, workshops, and hostels are structurally sound, properly ventilated, electrically powered, and routinely maintained. The Institute prides itself on maintaining a safe and conducive academic environment for learning, innovation, and professional development in the oil and gas sector. The management in clear terms described the publication as the work of “unscrupulous elements seeking to sow discord and cast aspersions on the steady infrastructural development PTI has recorded in recent years.” As a center of excellence in petroleum training and manpower development, PTI has, under its current administration, seen remarkable transformation in terms of physical infrastructure, digital modernization, and student welfare programs. The Institute continues to attract local and international recognition for its cutting-edge research and high-impact training curriculum.
