Sheriff Oborevwori, the Executive Góvernor of Delta State, and his Deputy

His Excellency, Sir Monday Onyema for their successful inauguration yesterday  May 29th, 2023, at the Stephen Keshi Stadium  in Asaba, the State Capital.


Comrade Sweet Otiotio, the  Leader of Urhobo HOSTCOM   Youth Wing  observed in his  congratulatory message that Góvernor Sheriff Oborevwori is a Man of destiny, favoured by God and chosen by a popular mandate of the people to lead Delta State in this time

in the annals of our history.



Comrade Sweet Otiotio noted that Góvernor Sheriff Oborevwori is coming well equipped  having served meritoriously as a Speaker of the State House of Asembly ,  Who worked harmoniously with former  Góvernór Okowa  the Road Master to  make  Delta State a reference point of peace , development and progress.




Comrade Otiotio the Urhobo  HOSTCOM Youth  leader  explained that , they are particularly happy because the street

Credibility and Youth friendly Góvernor, 

 RT Hon Sheriff  Francis  Oborevwori has demonstrated time and again that, indeed there is  so much in stock waiting to happen positively for  the Youths in Delta State.

Governor Sheriff Oborevwori as the Speaker of Delta State House of Assembly carried out empowerment Programmes which impacted positively

on  all and sundry.


Still euogizing the sterling leadership quality of the new Delta State Chief Executive, Comrade Sweet Otiotio said: " His Excellency, RT Hon Sheriff Oborevwori, the Governor of Delta State , based on his superlative performance in the past,

 can surely be trusted to 

bring about accelerated development

to every nook and cranny of the State

without segregation because he is a known detribalized leader."

 

 Speaking further,Comrade Sweet Otiotio the Urhobo HOSTCOM Youth Leader  remarked : "  Our amiable Góvernór have made alot of landmarks

in his Political journey that is doted with laurels to attest to his celebrated Street Credibility status.


ln summation Otiotio said: " We are grateful to God Almighty Who made it possible for RT Hon Sheriff Oborevwori to be in the saddle of leadership in our State, and we are convinced that his   coming on  board is the beginning

of a new chapter of better things to come for the Government and good people of Delta State.

is a dream come true for Deltans who massively voted for him because of the legacies of the Okowa administration Which made alot of positive impact in the life of  the masses across the three Senatorial Districts.



Hon Happy Gbeke stressed in his felicitatiion message that with  the insignias of power in the hands of Governor  Sheriff Oborevwori,

Deltans are sure to be rewarded with credible leadership, because, Sheriff is known to be a promise keeper Who does not rescind  or go back  on his campaign promises. 


Comrade Otiotio the Urhobo HOSTCOM Youth leader and Hon Happy Gbeke, the Scribe prayed for God to guide the new administration of RT Hon Sheriff Oborevwori to greater heights and also to preserve the former Governor, His Excellency, Senator Dr Arthur Ifeanyi Okowa ,as he goes home to Owa Alero

to have a Little break until he will be called again to serve his father land in a higher capacity.

PTI Defends Its Reputation Against Misleading Sahara Media Report By Wilson Macaulay Effurun, Delta State July 12 2025 The Management of the prestigious Petroleum Training Institute (PTI), Effurun, has vehemently refuted a sensational and malicious report published by Sahara Reporters on July 10, 2025, which alleged that students of the foremost oil and gas institution study in “flooded classrooms and snake-infested hostels” despite a ₦39 billion budget. Describing the publication as “baseless, mischievous, and an orchestrated attempt to malign the integrity of the institution,” PTI Management said the report is not only factually inaccurate but also a deliberate attack on the hard-earned reputation and progress of the institution under its current leadership. In a strongly worded statement issued on Friday, the management declared: > “There are absolutely no flooded classrooms or snake-infested hostels within the Institute. These claims are complete fabrications devoid of any evidence or truth.” Management further challenged Sahara Reporters to produce any verifiable photographic or video proof to substantiate its claims. > “If such conditions exist as alleged, Sahara Reporters should have no difficulty presenting concrete evidence. Until then, their report remains a reckless misrepresentation aimed at misleading the public.” PTI clarified that all its lecture halls, laboratories, workshops, and hostels are structurally sound, properly ventilated, electrically powered, and routinely maintained. The Institute prides itself on maintaining a safe and conducive academic environment for learning, innovation, and professional development in the oil and gas sector. The management in clear terms described the publication as the work of “unscrupulous elements seeking to sow discord and cast aspersions on the steady infrastructural development PTI has recorded in recent years.” As a center of excellence in petroleum training and manpower development, PTI has, under its current administration, seen remarkable transformation in terms of physical infrastructure, digital modernization, and student welfare programs.
