Kabba Day 2023- Former LG boss to Chair Central Planning Committee

 




A one time chairman of Kabba/Bunu Local Government Area of Kogi State and community leader, Barrister Segun Modeyin has been appointed as the Chairman, Central Planning Committee of this year Kabba Day celebrations by the national body of Kabba Development Union (KDU) .


Speaking at the unveiling ceremony held at the union's Secretariat in Kabba today, the President - General of the KDU, Engineer Emmanuel Ajibero said the national executives of the union unanimously in consultation with the stakeholders of the community decided to appoint Barrister Segun Modeyin as this year chairman of the Central Planning Committee because of his pedigree,  achievements and love for the community.


He said members of the executive believe in the capacity and capability of Barrister Segun Modeyin and Mr Justin Bello as the chairman and Secretary of this year's CPC respectively to galvanize the needed resources to have a wonderful outing this year.


He urged the people of the community to rally round the committee as this year events promised to showcase the rich cultural and traditional heritages of the people of Kabba (Owe) kingdom in grand style.


Reacting to their  appointments on behalf of the Secretary,  Barrister Modeyin  pledged to make this year's event a memorable one as the committee will work round the clock to bring every stakeholders on board to have an outstanding and world class event and the biggest festival in Nigeria by November.


He said Kabba community as the headquarters of the Okun nation, the committee will go extra miles in organizing an event that will full of  funfair  that will bring out the best of Owe culture and traditions to the fall that will attract international tourist to the community.


He said the committee is open to everyone that can add value to the success of the event this year hence committee members will not be limited to those who are officially appointed but to anyone who have the capacity and capable to make the event a great success.

These claims are complete fabrications devoid of any evidence or truth.” Management further challenged Sahara Reporters to produce any verifiable photographic or video proof to substantiate its claims. > “If such conditions exist as alleged, Sahara Reporters should have no difficulty presenting concrete evidence. Until then, their report remains a reckless misrepresentation aimed at misleading the public.” PTI clarified that all its lecture halls, laboratories, workshops, and hostels are structurally sound, properly ventilated, electrically powered, and routinely maintained.
