 The former Deputy Governor of Delta State, H.E. Dcn. Kingsley Burutu Otuaro, Esq., paid his respect  at a solemn service of songs held in honor of the late Mrs. Janet Yinkore, who passed away at the age of 78.


 The ceremony took place in the Igbudu area of Warri, Delta State, and brought together family, friends, and well-wishers to commemorate and celebrate the life of the departed.


In his address, Dcn. Otuaro offered words of comfort and guidance to the grieving children of the deceased. He emphasized the significance of living with love and finding solace in the cherished memories they hold of their mother.

 He encouraged them to draw strength and find comfort in these memories as they navigate the challenging days ahead.


During a brief interview, the late Mrs. Janet Yinkore's eldest son, Hon. Dibi Yinkore, acknowledged the presence of Dcn. Otuaro at the service of songs, highlighting the importance of Mrs. Yinkore's life and the impact she had on people. Dcn. Otuaro's attendance demonstrated the deep respect and condolences shared by the political class and the wider community.


The service of songs provided an emotional opportunity for family, friends, and acquaintances to reflect on the life and legacy of Mama Janet Yinkore. Attendees expressed their condolences, shared memories, and offered support to the grieving family during this challenging time.


As the family and friends mourned the loss of their beloved, Dcn. Otuaro's compassionate remarks served as a reminder of the enduring power of love and the importance of cherishing memories. Meanwhile, the Deputy Governor also paid a condolence visit to one of his aides, Barr. Cleric Alaowei, following the death of his elderly mother, Mama Rachel Alaowei (nee Okodomufa), at the age of 82. He prayed that God would grant the Alaowei family the grace to remain united and let love guide them as they prepare to give Mama a fitting burial.

In a strongly worded statement issued on Friday, the management declared: > “There are absolutely no flooded classrooms or snake-infested hostels within the Institute. These claims are complete fabrications devoid of any evidence or truth.” Management further challenged Sahara Reporters to produce any verifiable photographic or video proof to substantiate its claims. > “If such conditions exist as alleged, Sahara Reporters should have no difficulty presenting concrete evidence. Until then, their report remains a reckless misrepresentation aimed at misleading the public.” PTI clarified that all its lecture halls, laboratories, workshops, and hostels are structurally sound, properly ventilated, electrically powered, and routinely maintained. The Institute prides itself on maintaining a safe and conducive academic environment for learning, innovation, and professional development in the oil and gas sector. The management in clear terms described the publication as the work of “unscrupulous elements seeking to sow discord and cast aspersions on the steady infrastructural development PTI has recorded in recent years.” As a center of excellence in petroleum training and manpower development, PTI has, under its current administration, seen remarkable transformation in terms of physical infrastructure, digital modernization, and student welfare programs. The Institute continues to attract local and international recognition for its cutting-edge research and high-impact training curriculum.
