to the Góvernór of Delta State for the opportunity given him to serve  the Government and the good people of Delta State as a Commissioner in the newly inaugurated DESOPADEC Board



In an open letter filled with deep emotions, Hon. Okpoye Okubo Spencer, the Commissioner representing the Ijaw Ethnic Nationality on the Board of DESOPADEC, expressed his heartfelt appreciation and gratitude to His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Elder Sheriff O.F. Oborevwori, the Executive Governor of Delta State, for the unwavering support and the opportunity  given to him to serve in his administration.


Hon. Okubo Spencer expressed his sincere gratitude, stating, "I genuinely appreciate the exceptional support you provided regarding my appointment as Commissioner, representing the Ijaw Ethnic Nationality on the Board of DESOPADEC, prior to your swearing-in as the governor of our beloved state."


Governor Oborevwori, who recently assumed office after securing victory in the gubernatorial election, received commendations from Hon. Okubo Spencer for his remarkable success and subsequent inauguration. The letter commenced by acknowledging what appeared to be divine intervention guiding the governor's journey, from his nomination as the candidate of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) to the intense political battles leading up to the election. Hon. Okubo Spencer expressed unwavering confidence that the governor would emerge victorious even in the face of any potential tribunal challenges.


Spencer who  conveyed his genuine gratitude to Governor Oborevwori, said, "Your support has not only helped me achieve this remarkable feat, but it also enlightened me about the true essence of teamwork. I am always filled with confidence, knowing that I can rely on you whenever I require assistance or guidance, and for that, I am truly grateful."


Furthermore, Hon. Okubo Spencer reaffirmed his unwavering loyalty and commitment to Governor Oborevwori's administration. He assured the Governor of his resolute determination to work diligently alongside him, ensuring the delivery of democratic dividends and the betterment of the lives of the people in Delta State. The Commissioner seized the opportunity to extend gratitude on behalf of the political leadership of the Ijaw ethnic nationality and the residents of Egbema Kingdom.


In conclusion, Okubo Spencer offered his prayers and unwavering support to Governor Oborevwori, expressing hope that God would grant him victory in any potential election tribunal proceedings. The letter concluded with a final expression of high regard and warm regards to the Governor.

The management in clear terms described the publication as the work of “unscrupulous elements seeking to sow discord and cast aspersions on the steady infrastructural development PTI has recorded in recent years.” As a center of excellence in petroleum training and manpower development, PTI has, under its current administration, seen remarkable transformation in terms of physical infrastructure, digital modernization, and student welfare programs. The Institute continues to attract local and international recognition for its cutting-edge research and high-impact training curriculum. While assuring stakeholders, parents, and the general public of its unwavering commitment to the safety and welfare of its students, the management reiterated its call for responsible journalism and urged media practitioners to verify facts before rushing to publication. “We remain focused on our mandate and will not be distracted by smear campaigns designed to derail our progress.”
