CMPG Commends Oborevwori for Appointing Ighrakpata DBIR Chairman

Coalition for Media Politics and Governance, CMPG, has commended Delta State Governor, Elder Sheriff Francis Oborevwori, JP, for appointing the immediate past member representing Uvwie State Constituency, Chief Hon Solomon Ighrakpata, as Chairman of Delta State Board of Internal Revenue, DBIR, and other new members of the Board.

The foremost media pressure group in a congratulatory message signed by its Chairman, Olorogun Dr Fred Latimore Oghenesivbe Esq, and State Publicity Secretary, Onajite Malcolm Tagbarha, described Ighrakpata as a perfect gentleman, a team player and a loyal party man.

The group assured that his wealth of experience in legislative business and as a technocrat will, for sure, boost service delivery, especially in the area of increased but painless revenue generation for the state, by the State Board of Internal Revenue.

CMPG noted that Hon Ighrakpata worked tirelessly before, during and after the 2023 electioneering campaigns, occasioning the landslide victory of the party and candidate, now Executive Governor of Delta State, Rt Hon Elder Sheriff Francis Oborevwori, JP, adding that when Ighrakpata could not make it at the election, the group and indeed the entire PDP political family were pained.

The group thanked governor Oborevwori for deeming it fit to recognize the enviable contributions of the new Board Chairman of DBIR, Ighrakpata, in the scheme of things, saying that his appointment further exposed the unique foresight and competence of the governor to put together a vibrant team for the smooth actualization of his M.O.R.E Agenda, meant to advance Delta.

"CMPG rejoices with Hon Ighrakpata at this time of a new level in his service to the state and humanity, and as Chairman of Delta State Board of Internal Revenue.

"We know you to be a brilliant and result oriented team player who over the years worked tirelessly for the socioeconomic and wellbeing of your constituents, and by extension, the progress of the state through quality legislative functions and advocacy in the hallowed chamber of the Delta State House of Assembly during the 7th Assembly,as well as youth and women empowerment and human capacity development, et al.
