The Renaissance Girl-Child and Women Initiative today the 9 day of August 2023 seeks collaboration with the Isoko Youth Assembly Worldwide in a collective effort to combat social violence against the girl child and eradicate other social vices that hamper the well-being of the underprivileged in Delta State and Nigeria as a whole. This collaboration aims to bridge the gaps in society and create a nurturing environment for the girl child to flourish. the President General Prince Matthew Olomu, and Comrade Owhe Emmanuel, Senior Patron, have stressed the significance of governmental and other multinationals to further support the aims and objectives of these non-governmental organizations.

Promoting Social Violence-Free Environments:

One of the primary objectives of this collaboration is to raise awareness about social violence against the girl child. The Renaissance Girl-Child and Women Initiative, along with the Isoko Youth Assembly Worldwide, intends to educate communities, families, and individuals about the severe consequences of such violence. Through various outreach programs, seminars, and workshops, the organizations aim to sensitize society to the importance of protecting and empowering the girl child as well as supporting the less privileged with relief materials in the IDPs

Eliminating Social Vices:

In addition to fighting social violence against the girl child, both the Renaissance Girl-Child and Women Initiative and the Isoko Youth Assembly Worldwide are committed to eliminating other social vices that adversely affect the well-being of the less privileged in society. These vices may include child labor, child marriage, human trafficking, and drug abuse. By engaging in advocacy campaigns and grassroots initiatives, the organizations seek to break the cycle of poverty and oppression that often perpetuates these vices.

Comrade Paul Agbama, Chairman BOT Isoko Youth Assembly, and Snr. Comrade Owhe Emmanuel, Senior Patron, have emphasized the crucial role that government agencies and multinational corporations need to join force and support these NGOs in promoting the aims and objectives of NGOs like the Renaissance Girl-Child and Women Initiative and the Isoko Youth Assembly worldwide. The support of these entities can greatly enhance the impact and reach of their initiatives.

Government agencies can provide financial assistance, logistical support, and legislative frameworks to address the issues at hand. They can also ensure that adequate resources are allocated to implementing measures against social violence and other vices. Multinational corporations, on the other hand, can leverage their influence, resources, and expertise to contribute to these causes through corporate social responsibility programs and partnerships.

The collaboration between the Renaissance Girl-Child and Women Initiative and the Isoko Youth Assembly Worldwide Marks a significant milestone in the fight against social violence against the girl child and other social vices in Delta State and Nigeria. With the support of government agencies and multinational corporations, this partnership aims to create a society that fosters the well-being and empowerment of the most vulnerable members.

Collective efforts must be made to raise awareness, educate communities, and advocate for positive change. By working together, we can create social environments that prioritize the rights, safety, and development of the girl child. Let us join forces and pave the way for a brighter future, where every girl can thrive and reach her full potential.

PTI Defends Its Reputation Against Misleading Sahara Media Report By Wilson Macaulay Effurun, Delta State July 12 2025 The Management of the prestigious Petroleum Training Institute (PTI), Effurun, has vehemently refuted a sensational and malicious report published by Sahara Reporters on July 10, 2025, which alleged that students of the foremost oil and gas institution study in “flooded classrooms and snake-infested hostels” despite a ₦39 billion budget. Describing the publication as “baseless, mischievous, and an orchestrated attempt to malign the integrity of the institution,” PTI Management said the report is not only factually inaccurate but also a deliberate attack on the hard-earned reputation and progress of the institution under its current leadership. In a strongly worded statement issued on Friday, the management declared: > “There are absolutely no flooded classrooms or snake-infested hostels within the Institute. These claims are complete fabrications devoid of any evidence or truth.” Management further challenged Sahara Reporters to produce any verifiable photographic or video proof to substantiate its claims. > “If such conditions exist as alleged, Sahara Reporters should have no difficulty presenting concrete evidence. Until then, their report remains a reckless misrepresentation aimed at misleading the public.” PTI clarified that all its lecture halls, laboratories, workshops, and hostels are structurally sound, properly ventilated, electrically powered, and routinely maintained. The Institute prides itself on maintaining a safe and conducive academic environment for learning, innovation, and professional development in the oil and gas sector. The management in clear terms described the publication as the work of “unscrupulous elements seeking to sow discord and cast aspersions on the steady infrastructural development PTI has recorded in recent years.” As a center of excellence in petroleum training and manpower development, PTI has, under its current administration, seen remarkable transformation in terms of physical infrastructure, digital modernization, and student welfare programs. The Institute continues to attract local and international recognition for its cutting-edge research and high-impact training curriculum. While assuring stakeholders, parents, and the general public of its unwavering commitment to the safety and welfare of its students, the management reiterated its call for responsible journalism and urged media practitioners to verify facts before rushing to publication. “We remain focused on our mandate and will not be distracted by smear campaigns designed to derail our progress.”
