The Leadership of Uhurie United Union (UUU) has congratulated

His Excellency, RT Hon Sheriff Oborevwori, the Governor of Delta State over his well deserved victory at the tribunal  which was decided in his favour having   truly won the polls with a wide margin.

The Union in their solidarity message stated that Governor Sheriff Oborevwori is a man of the People who has done so much to better the lot of Deltans under the MORE Agenda.

Olorogun Francis Vevakpor, Chairman Board of Trustees, who spoke to Daily lndependent Newspaper onbehalf of the  Uhurie United Union noted that Governor Oborevwori have all the merits hence the judiciary rightly decided the case in his favour.

According to Olorogun Francis Vevakpor, the Uhurie United Union is Particularly happy because Governor Sheriff Oborevwori is an illustrous son of Uhurie from Ozikpo family of Ihwrekreka town in Ughievwen Kingdom, Ughelli South Local Government Area of Delta State.

Speaking further Olorogun Vevakpor said: " The Ozikpo family

prayed fervently and looked forward for this victory , to God be the glory today , we are celebrating

the faithfulness of God over our indifatigable Governor.

He added : "  May l use this medium

to call on Senator Ovie Omo- Agege

to allow sleeping dogs to lie by accepting the outcome of the tribunal which favoured Governor Oborevwori since two persons cannot be Governor at the same time."

Shedding more light on the need

for Omo - Agege  to tow  the path of peace and honor, Olorogun Vevakpor said:" ln the same vein l also use this opportunity to humbly call on all the Urhobo Traditional Rulers, under the Chairmanship of the  HRM, Major General  Felix Muejakperuo, Orhue l the Orodje of Okpe and the Leadership of Urhobo Progress Union,( UPU ) to Wade into the matter to ensure that there is amicable peace henceforth, because it is not proper for Urhobos to continue fighting themselves.

Continuing further, Vevakpor remarked: "The money that Will be expended on  litigation fees

and the precious time to be spent on further cotending the result of the election that was clearly a landslide

is all a distraction to the laudable strides of Governor Sheriff Oborevwori who is already breaking

new grounds to the constellation of all Deltans across the three Senatorial Districts."

Olorogun Vevakpor explained during the interactive session that

the opportunity given to the  Urhobos  is just eight years , the earlier the reconciliation the better for the Government and the good People of Delta State.

Vevakpor , drawing  an analogy from past administrations, maintained that, Delta South ruled, with nobody from Delta South chalenging the Governor, Delta North ruled, nobody

from Delta North distracted the Governor, so it is not ideal for Delta Central to have cataclisms all the time which could draw back the much needed accelerated development.

The Uhurie United Union Board of Trustee Chair also called on some of the Governorship candidates from other parties particularly those  from Ughelli South Local Government Area like the  Social Democratic Party (SDP)

and the Labour Party to realize and appreciate the fact that Governor Sheriff Oborevwori is from Ughievwen Kingdom hence they must sheathe their swords and join  their brother to take Delta State to greater heights.

In summation , Olorogun Vevakpor appealed to the conscience of Senator Ovie Omo- Agege to look beyond Delta State and face the Federal Government at the National level to continue the good Works of influencing development to Delta State to the glory of God
