Calls For The Termination of Olu of Warri Pipeline Surveillance Contract Baseless, -------- Comrade Mike J K Tiemo

The President of Peace Development Security and Humanitarian Rights  Association of Niger Deltans and Egbema Communities  Peace Development and Humanitarian Rights  Association, Comrade Mike J K Tiemo, 

have asserted that the calls for the termination of the Pipeline Surveillance Contract of  Pipeline Infrastructure Nigeria Limited owned by HIM, Atuwatse 111, the Olu

of Warri is  baseless and uncalled for.


Comrade Mike Tiemo made this observation in the light of  recent clamor within the Niger Delta region for the cancellation or termination of the Pipeline Surveillance Contract held by the Olu of Warri, Atuwatse III.



 Comrade Mike J k Tiemo said he decided to step forward to denounce such calls as unwarranted and baseless

because it negates the patriotic spirit of one Niger Delta facing the same problems of oil exploitation occasioned by the international oil companies operating in the Niger Delta region.



 Tiemo, a prominent figure within the region, stressed that  it is   his firm belief that the calls for contract termination is unnecessary and it   lacks merit and locus standi.


He explained that  Pipeline Surveillance Contract, is a crucial aspect of the oil industry, and it  has been a  subject of  scrutiny and debate, especially in  the Niger Delta, where issues of resource ownership, environmental degradation, and community welfare are paramount.



 Comrade Mike  Tiemo's  stance  and  perspective to the ongoing discourse is germane and robust 

because his advocacy is to  carry everyone along in the spirit of one love.


Comrade Mike  Tiemo emphasized the significant contributions made by the  Pipeline Infrastructure Nigeria Limited owned by the  Olu of Warri in overseeing the surveillance of pipelines within the region just the same way Tantita owned by High Chief Government Oweizide Ekpomupolo is also performing very well.


 He highlighted the importance of maintaining stability and security in the oil-rich Niger Delta  area, pointing out that the contract given to the indigenes of the Niger   serves as a vital mechanism for preventing oil theft, vandalism, and other criminal activities that could jeopardize the industry's operations.


Furthermore, Tiemo underscored the socio-economic benefits derived from such contracts given to indigenes of Niger Delta region, which includes, job creation, revenue generation, and community development initiatives spearheaded by the PINL owned by the  Olu of Warri and other indigenous contractors like Tantita owned by High Chief Government  Oweizide Ekpomupolo aka Tompolo which are doing their very best to avert insicurity in the Niger Delta. 


Comrade Tiemo  argued that calls for the  termination of the Pipeline Surveillance Contract of illustrious citizens of the Niger Delta   would not only disrupt these positive outcomes but would  also exacerbate existing challenges facing the region, including unemployment , marginalization and denial of heir apparants  of the Niger  Delta .


Addressing  furtther the concerns raised by critics regarding  absence of accountability and lack of transparency in the execution of the Pipeline contracts, Comrade Mike  Tiemo assured that so far as a Corporate body PINL is doing their best even as he  urged the  Federal Government through the NNPCL to award more surveilance cobtracts for the region instead of criticism and calls for the termination of existing contracts.


He called for constructive dialogue and collaboration among stakeholders to address any perceived  grievances or issues constructively, rather than resorting to hasty decisions that could undermine progress and stability in the region.


 The renowned Niger Delta Humanitarian Activist  firm stance comes amidst escalating tensions and growing discontent within the Niger Delta, fueled by a myriad of socio-economic and environmental grievances. 


His persception on  what need to be done is a  dimension that would bring abundant peace and remove acrimonies surrounding the Pipeline Surveillance Contract, urging stakeholders to prioritize dialogue, cooperation, and sustainable solutions for the benefit of all indigenes of the Niger Delta region without segreggation.


Comrade Tiemo advised stakeholders to  work  together as Niger Deltans in unity  weighing the merits of termination against the potential consequences for the region's socio-economic development and stability.

Continuing further,Comrade Mike  Tiemo said: " l wish to use this meduim

to call on all Niger Deltans to come together to tackle the Common persistent challenges in the Niger Delta region by  working out measures that will create positive impact in the life of the people through the establishment of companies that Will be productive like the International Oil Companies operating in the region.


Moving forward, Tiemo added : " As Niger Deltans, we should wake up and call for how to   re- address and re -ammend   the PIA 3 Percent apportioned to the oil producing  Communities and some controvertial sections in the ACT which are  already creating several problems and  tension in the region.


Acccording to Mike Tiemo, as stakeholders we should be more concerned about sorting out the thorny issues of the PIA , establishment of industries, Companies, and  factories instead of the primordial engagement of

cricism which Will take the region no where.

Tiemo therefore , advocated  the use of love and unity to bring out the best in the overall interest of the region and the inhabitants , because united we stand divided we fall.

PTI Defends Its Reputation Against Misleading Sahara Media Report By Wilson Macaulay Effurun, Delta State July 12 2025 The Management of the prestigious Petroleum Training Institute (PTI), Effurun, has vehemently refuted a sensational and malicious report published by Sahara Reporters on July 10, 2025, which alleged that students of the foremost oil and gas institution study in “flooded classrooms and snake-infested hostels” despite a ₦39 billion budget.
