Gov Sheriff Oborevwori Pays Unscheduled Visit To 4.04 Km Emevor-Orogun Road Construction Project ------Expresses Satisfaction Over Emorock's Quality Service Delivery

His Excellency, RT Hon Sheriff Oborevwori, the Governor of Delta State

in a bid to assess the progress of ongoing infrastructural Projects, as a follow up to the earlier working visit last February, on the  8th of April 2024 paid an unscheduled visit to the 4.04 km Emevor-Orogun road construction project.


Governor Sheriff Oborevwori  arrived at 11 am at Emevor town in lsoko North Local Government Area accompanied by Hon Chief Charles Aniagwu  , Hon Reuben Zeze, Delta State  Commissioners for Road, Rural & Urban

respectively and other   key officials from the State's Ministry of Works .

Speaking on arival at the Emevor- Orogun Projects site, Governor Sheriff Oborevwori stated that the unscheduled visit is aimed for him to have a firsthand  witness of  the  ongoing developments , to have a personal assessment of  the quality and pace of work being done by Emorock Concept Limited, the   construction firm  handling the Emevor - Orogun Road Project.


The Delta State Chief Executive observed in his speech that during his

last visit in February, the Road was at stone base level with about 2..5 km covered, but today during my inspection

l saw over 3.5 km  already covered with first  course of asphalt which means the project Will be ready for commissioning

by May 29th to mark my first one year in office.


He added:" During the inspection, l closely scrutinized various aspects of the construction project, including the quality of materials being used, the level of adherence to engineering specifications, and the overall progress achieved thus far.. I am indeed pleased with the quality and level  of job done.




Governor Oborevwori in his remarks,

reiterated his administration's commitment to prioritizing the Provision 

of  infrastructural  development across the  three Senatorial districts without bias as encapsulated in his MORE Agenda for the benefit of all Deltans.


Continuing, he  noted:"  Considering the expertise displayed, l commend Emorocks Concept Limited for the quality service delivery because

the importance of delivering durable and long-lasting Road infrastructures that would benefit Deltans even  for years to come  cannot be overemphasized."


Furthermore, governor Oborevwori, said: "Frankly, l  commended Emorock Concepts Limited for its dedication and professionalism in executing the Emevor-Orogun road construction project. 



He stressed the need for all stakeholders, including government agencies and contractors, to maintain high standards of performance and accountability in order to deliver projects that meet the expectations of the people.


The Emevor-Orogun road construction project, spanning a distance of 4.04 kilometers, holds immense importance for the communities it serves. Once completed, the road is expected to provide easier access to essential services, promote commerce and trade, and enhance the overall mobility of residents and commuters in the area.


Governor Sheriff Oborevwori's unscheduled visit to the Emevor-Orogun road construction project underscored his administration's commitment to effective project management and infrastructure development. The governor's expression of satisfaction with Emorock's quality service reflects a positive step towards achieving the wholistic implementation of the 

MORE Agenda for the benefit of all Deltans.




HRH Dr John Holt Ologho, The Odion of Emevor Kingdom who was pleased with the visit of the Govrrnor in  a brief meeting with him   expressed his desire   to host the governor  any time he steps his foot on Emevor  kingdom .

The Emevor Monarch noted that they are capable of hosting the governor in  Emevor . In his response, the governor said  during the commissioning of the Emevor -Orogun  road project , he promised to dine and wine with the Emevor Monarch and his subjects .

 The Monarch  used this opportunity to remind the hard working governor about his request to remember Emevor for a general Hospital .
