Hon Ben Eki Emerges as PDP Consensus Candidate for Ethiope West Ward 12

 Hon. Benson Eki has emerged as the consensus candidate for the councilorship of Ethiope West Ward 12, following a unanimous decision by the People's Democratic Party (PDP) leaders and members of both State Ward 12 and Federal Ward 7.


The endorsement of Hon. Ben Eki was championed by prominent leaders of Ward 12, including Rev. Christopher Oboh, Chief Joseph Ogaga Ogunje, Ugo Samuel Bobori, Chief David Okono, and Chief Victor Onerhime, who currently serve on the Ijomi Elder Council. 

Their collective support and commitment have paved the way for Hon. Eki’s candidacy, reflecting a unified stance within the party.


The leaders’ backing reaffirmed their confidence in Hon Ben. Eki’s capability to represent and advance the interests of the ward. Chief Joseph Ogaga Ogunje, speaking on behalf of the group, expressed their shared belief in Hon. Eki’s leadership qualities and his dedication to community and grassroot development. "We have full confidence in Hon. Ben Eki’s ability to serve our community with integrity and commitment," Ogunje stated.


Grassroots supporters and party leaders have also expressed their happiness with the selection of Hon. Eki. The consensus candidacy signifies a strong and united front within the PDP in Ethiope West, which many believes will be crucial for securing victory in the forthcoming election.


Ugo Samuel Bobori, another key leader, who also spoke highlighted the importance of unity and collective effort in ensuring Hon. Eki’s success at the polls. "Our unified support for Hon. Ben Eki is a testament to our commitment to the progress of Ward 12. We are all dedicated to ensuring his victory," Bobori said.


Hon. Ben Eki, known for his dedication to public service and community welfare, expressed his gratitude for the overwhelming support. He pledged to work tirelessly towards fulfilling the aspirations of his constituents and advancing the development agenda of Ward 12. as encapsulated in the MORE Agenda of Governor Sheriff Oborevwori.

Hon Ben Eki added : " lnterestingly, l am also currently the secretary general of Ijomi Elders  Council and I am using the mechinery of my office as secretary general of the community to mobilize the our  total and unalloyed Support for  Governor Sheriff Oborevwori as he celebrate his first one year in office with unassailable developmental Projects."


The elated Hon Eki renarked : "I am deeply honored by this endorsement

by both leaders and Excos  of our great  ward 12. l am overwheled by the  faith placed in me by our leaders and grassroots supporters. Together, we will achieve great things for our community

to the glory of God." Hon. Eki stated.

As the election approaches, the PDP in Ethiope West Ward 12 stands united and optimistic, rallying behind Hon. Ben Eki to secure a resounding victory and ensure effective representation for their ward.

In a strongly worded statement issued on Friday, the management declared: > “There are absolutely no flooded classrooms or snake-infested hostels within the Institute. These claims are complete fabrications devoid of any evidence or truth.” Management further challenged Sahara Reporters to produce any verifiable photographic or video proof to substantiate its claims. > “If such conditions exist as alleged, Sahara Reporters should have no difficulty presenting concrete evidence. Until then, their report remains a reckless misrepresentation aimed at misleading the public.” PTI clarified that all its lecture halls, laboratories, workshops, and hostels are structurally sound, properly ventilated, electrically powered, and routinely maintained. The Institute prides itself on maintaining a safe and conducive academic environment for learning, innovation, and professional development in the oil and gas sector. The management in clear terms described the publication as the work of “unscrupulous elements seeking to sow discord and cast aspersions on the steady infrastructural development PTI has recorded in recent years.” As a center of excellence in petroleum training and manpower development, PTI has, under its current administration, seen remarkable transformation in terms of physical infrastructure, digital modernization, and student welfare programs.
