DELTA LGA POLLS: Obule Urged Deltans to Reject APC and Vote PDP All the Way Come July 13th, 2024

As the Delta State Local Government elections slated for July 13th approaches, Comrade Francis Obule (JP), the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Political Matters, has made a call to action,as he urged Deltans to reject the All Progressives Congress (APC) and vote for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to ensure the continuity of the MORE AGENDA, which has brought numerous dividends of democracy to the state.

Obule the Senior Governor Aide, who  highlighted the significant accomplishments achieved under the MORE AGENDA, emphasized  that the laudable  milestones of Governor Oborevwori have exceeded expectations and brought substantial benefits to Delta State.

He explained that the  MORE AGENDA has transformed Delta State in ways we never thought possible. From infrastructural development to social welfare programs, the impact is evident in every community," Obule stated.

Citing the harsh economic realities under the APC-led federal government as a good reason to dump the APC, Obule drew attention to the ballooning national debt and the resultant economic hardship faced by Nigerians.

He added:  "The APC should honestly tell Nigerians how they grew Nigeria’s debt from 12 trillion in 2015 to over 120 trillion in 2024. Ask them what they did with the money. Only a gullible person bereft of wisdom will embrace such a party. l Trust Deltans will not go the APC way, which is already an expired drug," he declared.

Obule further criticized the economic policies of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's administration, attributing the rising cost of living and increased poverty levels to the APC’s governance.

He noted that under President Tinubu, many Nigerians have been plunged into economic despair, with inflation and unemployment reaching unprecedented heights. "Imagine the cost of living under President Tinubu. Indeed, the APC has failed the Nigerian people," Obule lamented.

Highlighting the positive impact of the MORE AGENDA, Obule pointed to the numerous projects and initiatives undertaken by the PDP-led Delta state government. These include improved healthcare facilities, enhanced educational infrastructure, and a robust agricultural sector that has boosted food security and created jobs.

"Our hospitals are better equipped, our schools are producing top-notch graduates, and our farmers are thriving. These are the dividends of democracy under the MORE AGENDA," Obule remarked.

In his appeal to the electorates, Obule emphasized the importance of voting for all PDP chairmanship and councillorship candidates in the upcoming Delta Local government  elections. "Delta State should vote for all the PDP chairmanship and councillorship candidates. Clearly, PDP is for Delta State, and Delta State is for PDP. It is time for everybody to run away from APC and vote massively for PDP, which can guarantee Nigerians a better future," he urged.

Obule’s call comes at a critical time as Deltans prepare to elect their local government leaders. The PDP, under the leadership of Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, has been credited with steering the state towards growth and development, implementing policies that have directly benefited the populace. The MORE AGENDA, which stands for Meaningful Development, Opportunity for All, Realistic Reforms, and Enhanced Peace and Security, has been the cornerstone of these achievements.

The senior special assistant also took the opportunity to remind voters of the importance of their civic duty. "Your vote is your voice. It is a powerful tool to shape the future of our state. By voting for PDP, you are endorsing progress, stability, and a better quality of life for all Deltans," Obule said.

Obule remarked :"You can see how people are committing suicide every day by day, just because of the hardship and bad policies of the APC led government of,2015, till date hence the call for the  rejection of  the APC led government of change mantra now renewed hope of President Tinubu lead administration."

Obule maintained that as the election day draws near, the message from him

and and the entire leadership of PDP is

clear: Reject the APC, embrace the PDP, and continue to enjoy the dividends of democracy under the MORE AGENDA. With the promise of a better future, the call to action resonates strongly with the hopes and aspirations of the people of Delta State

He concluded by reassuring Deltans that the PDP is committed to continuing its legacy of good governance and ensuring that the gains of the MORE AGENDA are sustained. "We have come this far because of your support and trust. Let us not turn back now. Together, we can build a Delta State that we are all proud of," Obule concluded.

PTI Defends Its Reputation Against Misleading Sahara Media Report By Wilson Macaulay Effurun, Delta State July 12 2025 The Management of the prestigious Petroleum Training Institute (PTI), Effurun, has vehemently refuted a sensational and malicious report published by Sahara Reporters on July 10, 2025, which alleged that students of the foremost oil and gas institution study in “flooded classrooms and snake-infested hostels” despite a ₦39 billion budget. Describing the publication as “baseless, mischievous, and an orchestrated attempt to malign the integrity of the institution,” PTI Management said the report is not only factually inaccurate but also a deliberate attack on the hard-earned reputation and progress of the institution under its current leadership. In a strongly worded statement issued on Friday, the management declared: > “There are absolutely no flooded classrooms or snake-infested hostels within the Institute. These claims are complete fabrications devoid of any evidence or truth.” Management further challenged Sahara Reporters to produce any verifiable photographic or video proof to substantiate its claims. > “If such conditions exist as alleged, Sahara Reporters should have no difficulty presenting concrete evidence. Until then, their report remains a reckless misrepresentation aimed at misleading the public.” PTI clarified that all its lecture halls, laboratories, workshops, and hostels are structurally sound, properly ventilated, electrically powered, and routinely maintained. The Institute prides itself on maintaining a safe and conducive academic environment for learning, innovation, and professional development in the oil and gas sector. The management in clear terms described the publication as the work of “unscrupulous elements seeking to sow discord and cast aspersions on the steady infrastructural development PTI has recorded in recent years.” As a center of excellence in petroleum training and manpower development, PTI has, under its current administration, seen remarkable transformation in terms of physical infrastructure, digital modernization, and student welfare programs. The Institute continues to attract local and international recognition for its cutting-edge research and high-impact training curriculum. While assuring stakeholders, parents, and the general public of its unwavering commitment to the safety and welfare of its students, the management reiterated its call for responsible journalism and urged media practitioners to verify facts before rushing to publication. “We remain focused on our mandate and will not be distracted by smear campaigns designed to derail our progress.”
