Obule Urges Ned Nwoko Not to Distract Gov Oborevwori MORE Agenda ---- Advises Ned Nwoko to dialogue with former Gov Okowa For his second tenure ambition

By Wilson Macaulay

Comrade Francis Obule (JP ) SSA to the Governor on Political Matters has urged Senator Ned Nwoko, representing Delta North Senatorial District not to distract Gov Sheriff Oborevwori of Delta from the steady implementation of the

MORE Agenda which has delivered so much  dividends of democracy to Deltans across the three Senatorial Districts of the State.

Comrade Francis Obule the Senior Governor Aide also advised Senator Ned Nwoko to go and dialogue with former Gov Okowa of Delta State over his second tenure ambition

Comrade Obule in his Press statement amongst other things said: " My attention has been drawn to a story authored  by Senator Ned Nwoko targeted at His Excellency, RT Hon Sheriff Oborevwori the Governor of Delta State in respect of federal Projects domiciled in Delta North  which  are however not Delta State Government  Projects.

Obule said this distraction is not necessary because Governor Sheriff Oborevwori  already hit the ground running with the commencement of different Projects across the three Senatorial Districts,  that is why today, in every LGA in Delta State our  amiable  Governor  have initiated one project or the other to ensure the presence of government and the positive impact of the MORE AGENDA.

Obule told the Press that the outburst of

Senator Ned Nwoko against Governor Sheriff Oborevwori is for his personal ambition and not for the entire Delta North but for his second tenure at the Senate.

Making more clarification, Obule

said: " Senator Ned Nwoko should be grateful to God Almighty for allowing former governor Arthur lfeanyi Okowa to contest for the position of Vice President which paved the way for him Ned Nwoko to contest for the position of  Senate ."

Going down the memory lane Obule disclosed, saying: " Some time ago, l was in a meeting in  the House of late Senator Patrick Osakwe Who was then the Political leader of Delta North and he said unequivocally that His Excellency, Senator DR Arthur lfeanyi Okowa, the then Governor of Delta State, would go back to the Senate after his service to the Delta State Government as Governor. He also said that Senator DR Arthur lfeanyi Okowa the former governor of Delta State did one tenure at the Senate

because of his Govership mandate. Now that former governor Okowa has completed his first and Second tenure as Governor, the North agreed that  he should go back to the Senate to continue his good Works in the red chambers of our National Assembly.

Again he clarified : "Senator DR Arthur lfeanyi Okowa the former governor of Delta State decided to vie for the post of Vice President contesting as running mate to former Vice President Atiku Abubakar , this provided the opportunity

for Senator Ned Nwoko to become the Senator Representing Delta North today.

Therefore,  Obule posited: " As we are moving close to 2027 Senator Ned Nwoko should go and  dialogue and negotiate with Senator DR Arthur lfeanyi Okowa the former governor of Delta State to see if he Ned Nwoko will still be going back to the Senate or he should step down for Senator DR Arthur lfeanyi Okowa since they are brothers from the same Senatorial Districts.

Obule emphasized that based on earlier understanding of the Delta  North on Okowa to be returned to the Senate, and the fact that Senator DR Arthur lfeanyi Okowa as the leader of Delta North

it is fundamentally necessary for Ned Nwoko to go to

former Gov Okowa to resolve his issue of whether he will still be  going  back to the Senate or not before thinking of bringing the name of Governor Sheriff Oborevwori to disrepute on baseless issues which  are purely the exclusive Prerogative of the federal Government.

Obule added: " Instead of celebrating the achievements of Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, for the past one year and six months, Ned Nwoko should stop making disparaging statements against a man that is working.

Senator Ned Nwoko should not forget that , the government has been with Delta South and North for the past 16, years,  without saying anything about the various federal projects, why not allow Sheriff Oborevwori to concentrate on his good work, and stop distracting him.with baseless issue ,"

He said: " The current posture of Senator Ned Nwoko will not in any way help him to aclamatize politically instead he will plummet. Therefore   , l advised Senator Ned Nwoko to dialogue with former Gov Okowa and remove the name of RT Hon Sheriff Oborevwori the Governor of Delta State from his political ambition of trying to retain  the seat of the Senate for second tenure ,which is a purely Delta North affairs. It is Delta North people that will determine who will represent them at the Senate come 2027 it has nothing to do with the governor who is from Delta central.

Obule advised Senator Ned Nwoko to support Governor Sheriff Oborevwori with prayers and the attraction of federal Projects to Delta North Senatorial District which he represents.

In summation, he said: " Senator Ned Nwoko should support the MORE AGENDA to build on the legacies achieved by Governor Okowa the  Road Master and the Ekwueme of the Universe.

PTI Defends Its Reputation Against Misleading Sahara Media Report By Wilson Macaulay Effurun, Delta State July 12 2025 The Management of the prestigious Petroleum Training Institute (PTI), Effurun, has vehemently refuted a sensational and malicious report published by Sahara Reporters on July 10, 2025, which alleged that students of the foremost oil and gas institution study in “flooded classrooms and snake-infested hostels” despite a ₦39 billion budget. Describing the publication as “baseless, mischievous, and an orchestrated attempt to malign the integrity of the institution,” PTI Management said the report is not only factually inaccurate but also a deliberate attack on the hard-earned reputation and progress of the institution under its current leadership. In a strongly worded statement issued on Friday, the management declared: > “There are absolutely no flooded classrooms or snake-infested hostels within the Institute. These claims are complete fabrications devoid of any evidence or truth.” Management further challenged Sahara Reporters to produce any verifiable photographic or video proof to substantiate its claims. > “If such conditions exist as alleged, Sahara Reporters should have no difficulty presenting concrete evidence. Until then, their report remains a reckless misrepresentation aimed at misleading the public.” PTI clarified that all its lecture halls, laboratories, workshops, and hostels are structurally sound, properly ventilated, electrically powered, and routinely maintained. The Institute prides itself on maintaining a safe and conducive academic environment for learning, innovation, and professional development in the oil and gas sector. The management in clear terms described the publication as the work of “unscrupulous elements seeking to sow discord and cast aspersions on the steady infrastructural development PTI has recorded in recent years.” As a center of excellence in petroleum training and manpower development, PTI has, under its current administration, seen remarkable transformation in terms of physical infrastructure, digital modernization, and student welfare programs. The Institute continues to attract local and international recognition for its cutting-edge research and high-impact training curriculum. While assuring stakeholders, parents, and the general public of its unwavering commitment to the safety and welfare of its students, the management reiterated its call for responsible journalism and urged media practitioners to verify facts before rushing to publication. “We remain focused on our mandate and will not be distracted by smear campaigns designed to derail our progress.”
