PDP Delta 'll Reclaim all Senatorial, House of Reps Seats in 2027 - Bureau Chief ...Says Oborevwori's amazing performance, party supremacy in Delta unquestionable

Director General of Delta State Bureau for Communications and Orientation, Dr Fred Latimore Oghenesivbe, has assured that despite unlawful defections by some members of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, to the opposition All Progressives Congress, APC, in the state, the party will reclaim all Senatorial and House of Representatives seats at the national Assembly in 2027.

He gave the assurance while speaking as guest of Rize FM Warri-106.7 FM on Saturday, saying that the enviable performance, visionary leadership and good governance strides of the state governor, Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori shall resonate with eligible voters at the polls in the forthcoming governorship, State and National Assembly elections.

Dr Oghenesivbe said those who willingly betrayed PDP after using her platforms to win elections in 2023 by defecting to APC Delta, may in due course encounter stiff opposition within the APC Delta multifaceted factions, and at the polls because Deltans love governor Oborevwori, pointing out that defecting to attract media publicity is one thing, and to win election after defection is another.

The Bureau Chief further assured that the media funfair associated with recent defections shall be short lived with no significant gains for the defectors either now or at the polls in 2027.

Dr Oghenesivbe further assured that PDP political supremacy in Delta State shall be sustained and upscaled to the next level via the instrumentality of governor Oborevwori's good governance, visionary leadership, political bridge building and strategic political partnership, as well as political sagacity of party leaders across board.

"Those defecting from PDP to APC in Delta State have no genuine reasons to do so. They are free to exercise their constitutional rights to freely associate, but PDP shall retrieve her mandate through by-elections and have defectors replaced by our members.

"Their defection is strictly about personal interests that would not resonate with the people at the polls, come 2027.

"PDP Delta shall reclaim all seats at the Senate and House of Representatives in 2027. The enviable performance of governor Oborevwori coupled with the watertight synergy of our party leaders and political structures shall bring about landslide victory for all PDP candidates in the forthcoming general elections.

"Governor Oborevwori is working very hard and the party leadership is also strategizing as we navigate into another electioneering season in 2027.

"PDP political supremacy in Delta shall be sustained and upscaled beyond the forthcoming elections in the state" Oghenesivbe assured.

PTI Defends Its Reputation Against Misleading Sahara Media Report By Wilson Macaulay Effurun, Delta State July 12 2025 The Management of the prestigious Petroleum Training Institute (PTI), Effurun, has vehemently refuted a sensational and malicious report published by Sahara Reporters on July 10, 2025, which alleged that students of the foremost oil and gas institution study in “flooded classrooms and snake-infested hostels” despite a ₦39 billion budget. Describing the publication as “baseless, mischievous, and an orchestrated attempt to malign the integrity of the institution,” PTI Management said the report is not only factually inaccurate but also a deliberate attack on the hard-earned reputation and progress of the institution under its current leadership. In a strongly worded statement issued on Friday, the management declared: > “There are absolutely no flooded classrooms or snake-infested hostels within the Institute. These claims are complete fabrications devoid of any evidence or truth.” Management further challenged Sahara Reporters to produce any verifiable photographic or video proof to substantiate its claims. > “If such conditions exist as alleged, Sahara Reporters should have no difficulty presenting concrete evidence. Until then, their report remains a reckless misrepresentation aimed at misleading the public.” PTI clarified that all its lecture halls, laboratories, workshops, and hostels are structurally sound, properly ventilated, electrically powered, and routinely maintained. The Institute prides itself on maintaining a safe and conducive academic environment for learning, innovation, and professional development in the oil and gas sector. The management in clear terms described the publication as the work of “unscrupulous elements seeking to sow discord and cast aspersions on the steady infrastructural development PTI has recorded in recent years.” As a center of excellence in petroleum training and manpower development, PTI has, under its current administration, seen remarkable transformation in terms of physical infrastructure, digital modernization, and student welfare programs. The Institute continues to attract local and international recognition for its cutting-edge research and high-impact training curriculum. While assuring stakeholders, parents, and the general public of its unwavering commitment to the safety and welfare of its students, the management reiterated its call for responsible journalism and urged media practitioners to verify facts before rushing to publication. “We remain focused on our mandate and will not be distracted by smear campaigns designed to derail our progress.”
