The Management of Africa For Peace Games Village, Osubi, Okpe LGA, Delta State in partnership with Bryth Idede Sports Agency, have announced the launch of a unique multi-sport championship, featuring 13 different games in one tournament. The highly anticipated event is scheduled to take place from April 4th to April 20th, 2025, bringing together athletes from 12 participating communities.

Speaking during the official unveiling ceremony of the trophies of the tournament in a Press briefing MC EMMARALO the Brand Ambassador for the  championship in his official statement reiterated the commitment of Africa For Peace Games Village and Bryth Idede Sports Agency to creating a remarkable sporting experience for young  Nigerian talents. He emphasized that the Tournament is a formidable platform for talent development.

"This tournament is a golden opportunity for young athletes to showcase their talents. With Football, Basketball, Chess, Draft, Scrabble, Ludo, Table Tennis, and more on the lineup, the event is designed to promote grassroots sports development," Emmaralo stated.

“Today’s unveiling of the tournament trophies is just the beginning. The full scope of this historic sporting event will be revealed as we approach the opening ceremony on April 4th, 2025.”

Mr. David Eyesan, the General Manager of Africa For Peace Games Village, also spoke about how they are using the games  in fostering sports development and community engagement in line with the MORE AGENDA of Governor Sheriff OBOREVWORI.

Speaking further he added: "We are expecting about 12 communities to participate in this groundbreaking 13-in-1 Games Championship. As the Manager of K & Q Food Palace, we will be on ground throughout the tournament to ensure guests enjoy quality hospitality and meals,” .Eyesan stated.

A Groundbreaking Initiative by an NGO 

The Chairman of the Local Organizing Committee (LOC), Coach Kelly Edoviobaghogho, who noted that the event is a groundbreaking initiative by an NGO hailed the championship as a first-of-its-kind  organized by an NGO, aimed at nurturing young talents.

"Our goal is to provide young athletes with a platform to develop their skills, gain exposure, and ultimately compete at national and global levels. Many young talents go unnoticed due to lack of opportunities like this. This tournament is here to change that," Edoviobaghogho stated.

Call for Participation

Speaking with the press, Mr. Bryth Idede, the Director of Idede Sports Agency, expressed gratitude to Comrade Chief Sheriff Mulade, MD/CEO of Africa For Peace Games Village, for his dedication to talent discovery and youth empowerment through sports.

"This championship is not just about competition; it’s about empowering young talents and bringing communities together. We encourage surrounding villages around Ugolo town, Okpe LGA, Delta State, to seize this opportunity and participate. The tournament will add excitement to the Easter celebrations," Idede remarked.

With the stage set for this unprecedented sports festival, anticipation is building as Africa For Peace Games Village and Bryth Idede Sports Agency prepare to deliver a spectacular sporting experience in April 2025.
