Governor Oborevwori is Committed to Delta State Transformation, Says Air vice Marshall Ajobena Advises Governor to invest in Energy Supply, Agro Services March 25, 2025

Since taking  over the reins of office, the Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, has remained committed to his campaign promises, spearheading critical projects under the MORE Agenda. His leadership has been praised by Air Vice Marshal Frank Ajobena (Rtd), who described him as a "promise keeper" dedicated to the welfare of Deltans and the transformation agenda."

"From environmental restoration in Warri to the construction of major flyovers by Julius Berger, Governor Oborevwori is proving that he is a man of his word," Ajobena remarked.

While acknowledging the progress made, Ajobena encouraged the governor to expand his focus to economic empowerment. He highlighted the importance of investing in energy generation now that states have been granted authority over electricity distribution. "With improved power supply, industries will thrive, creating more jobs and boosting commerce," he noted.

He also stressed the need for a structured approach to agricultural development. He proposed revamping the Songhai Farm as a training hub and ensuring that agricultural loans are disbursed as farming inputs rather than cash to maximize productivity.

On national matters, Ajobena advocated for ranching as a solution to the farmers-herders conflict, warning that without proper intervention, insecurity would continue to threaten food production. He also criticized President Tinubu’s interference in Rivers State’s political crisis, calling it undemocratic.

To drive sustainable economic growth, he urged the private sector to step up, stating, "Government provides the foundation, but businesses must take responsibility for job creation."
