As the people of Okpe Kingdom commemorate the 19th coronation anniversary of His Royal Majesty, Orhue I, the Orodje of Okpe, glowing tributes have continued to pour in, affirming the monarch's reign as one marked by divine grace, unity, and uncommon favour.

Speaking during a press briefing in Sapele, Hon. Francis Obule JP, the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor of Delta State on Political Matters, described the Orodje’s reign as "a clear manifestation of the finger of God upon the  great Okpe land."

According to Hon  Francis Obule, the current political blessings bestowed upon Okpe Kingdom are historic and divinely orchestrated by the finger of God.

“Okpe has not been this blessed in recent history. Today, under the spiritual and traditional leadership of Orhue I, we have an Okpe son as Governor of Delta State, another in the Senate, and one in the House of Representatives. That alone is a strong pointer that the hand of God is indeed upon His Royal Majesty,” he said.

Obule emphasized that such a level of political positioning across the three tiers of governance is unprecedented, and reflects the divine favour and wisdom that Orhue I brings to his throne.

He further stated that the Orodje’s influence goes beyond Okpe Kingdom, noting his current position as Chairman of the Delta State Traditional Rulers Council, a role that underscores his stature as “first among equals.”

> “His Royal Majesty Orhue I is not just a king, but a father to the state. His role as chairman of the traditional rulers council speaks volumes of the honour and reverence he commands across Delta,” Obule added.

The SSA concluded by calling on all sons and daughters of Okpe to unite in thanksgiving and continue to support the monarch in prayers and loyalty.

“This anniversary is not just about the years on the throne—it is about impact, legacy, and the grace of God. We salute His Majesty and we pray for more wisdom, strength, and peace in Okpe Kingdom,” Obule declared.

The 19th Orodje anniversary continues to attract commendations and goodwill messages from prominent sons and daughters of the land, as well as traditional and political leaders across Delta State and beyond.
