CG, Kemi Nandap to be Honored with Public Service Leadership Award

The Comptroller General of the Nigeria Immigration Service, CG Kemi Nanna Nandap, is set to be honored with the Public Service Leadership Award by Democracy Newsline Newspaper.
The prestigious award is based on the recommendation of a team of experts who conducted an opinion poll approving her nomination, following her outstanding performances and achievements since her appointment by President Bola Tinubu.
According to a press statement signed by the publisher and CEO, Chief Olugbemi Femi, CG Kemi Nandap's exceptional leadership skills have been recognized, particularly her efforts in introducing reforms to check the influx of illegal immigrants and computerizing borders to tackle insecurity.
The award will be presented during the 15th Public Lecture and Award Ceremony scheduled for August 26, 2025. The ceremony will take place at the Banquet Hall, National Merit House, Maitama, Abuja, and will feature a Red Carpet Ceremony which will kickstart by 5pm while the main event will be by 6pm, followed by a dinner program.
The theme of the event is "The Role of Independent Media Organizations in Promoting Participatory Democracy and Good Governance in Nigeria." Guest speakers and key stakeholders from various sectors will be in attendance.
He said the occasion will also mark the launch of a ₦100 million fund for the procurement of podcast studio equipment and the establishment of Democracy Newsline Newspaper Online Television. This initiative aims to further promote democracy and good governance in Nigeria.
CG Kemi Nandap's recognition is a testament to her dedication and expertise in leading the Nigeria Immigration Service.
The award ceremony promises to be a significant event, bringing together leaders and stakeholders to discuss important issues and celebrate excellence.
