CIISM BOARD: Oritseweyinmi, Oghenesivbe, others to be inaugurated President, Council members in Abuja ...Ondo Governor, Ayiedatiwa, Mrakpor to attend Award ceremony



The Chartered Institute of Information and Strategy Management, CIISM, has announced the nomination of its first female President of the Governing Council, Ambassador (Dr) Temile Uduogho Oritseweyinmi, who is also a Distinguished Fellow of the Institute.

Oritseweyinmi is a corporate executive, successful businesswoman and Chief Executive Officer of Reyon Company Ltd.

in the same vein, the Director General of Delta State Bureau for Communications and Orientation, Dr Fred Latimore Oghenesivbe Esq, has also been nominated to serve as a member of the Institute's governing Council for a second term from 2025 to 2027. He also served as Council Member from 2023 to 2025.

A statement by the Registrar and Secretary of the Governing Council of the Chartered Institute of Information and  Strategy Management, Dr Adelanke Oyintoke, and made available to newsmen on Friday in Abuja, said Dr Oritseweyinmi will lead the Institute's governing body for a two year tenure, while Dr Oghenesivbe will head the Media and Communication unit of the Institute for the same period.

According to Oyintoke, the incoming first female Council President and governing board members will be inaugurated during the Annual Awards and Induction ceremony of Distinguished Fellows and new members scheduled to take place at the Nigerian Army Resource Centre, Asokoro in Abuja, on Friday 15th August, 2025.

The highpoint of the event shall be the formal handing over by the outgoing President of the Institute, Dr Peter Mrakpor, SAN, to the first female President, Dr Temile Oritseweyinmi. Mrakpor is a former Honourable Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice in Delta State. He served two tenure of four years as President of CIISM.

The Governor of Ondo State, and a Distinguished Fellow of the Institute, His Excellency, Lucky Ayiedatiwa, will be special guest of honour at the Dinner/Award ceremony, while Professor Paul Bolorunduro, will deliver the keynote address at the auspicious occasion.

Other activities lined up for the CIISM annual event include; Advanced Train-The-Trainers Capacity Building Workshop with the Theme; Strategic Synergies - Leveraging Modern Technology with Information Management Strategy for Nigeria's Development.

"Nominated President and other Council members shall be inaugurated during new members induction and Awards ceremony scheduled to hold at the Nigerian Army Resource Centre, Asokoro in Abuja, on Friday 15th August, 2025.


"Governor of Ondo State, and a Distinguished Fellow of the Institute, His Excellency, Lucky Ayiedatiwa, will attend the CIISM Dinner and Awards ceremony as Special Guest of Honour," the statement added.
