DG NADDC, Joseph Osanipin Wins Leadership Award

The Director General of the National Automotive Design and Development Council (NADDC), Mr. Oluwapelumi Joseph Osanipin, has won the Exemplary Leadership Award organized by Democracy Newsline Newspaper to mark its 15th anniversary of publication.

The award is a recognition of his outstanding leadership skills and contributions to the automotive industry.

According to a press statement signed by the publisher and CEO, Chief Olugbemi Femi, Osanipin's exceptional leadership has been recognized, particularly his efforts in promoting the Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) initiative of the Federal Government.

The initiative aims to cushion the effects of the removal of subsidies on Premium Motor Spirit (PMS).

He said the award will be presented during the 15th Public Lecture and Award Ceremony scheduled for August 26, 2025, stressing that the ceremony will take place at the Banquet Hall, National Merit House, Maitama, Abuja, and will feature a Red Carpet Ceremony, main event, and dinner program.

The theme of the event is "The Role of Independent Media Organizations in Promoting Participatory Democracy and Good Governance in Nigeria."

He further noted that the occasion will also mark the launch of a ₦100 million fund for the procurement of podcast studio equipment and the establishment of Democracy Newsline Newspaper Online Television. This initiative aims to further promote democracy and good governance in Nigeria.

The award ceremony promises to be a significant event, bringing together leaders and stakeholders to discuss important issues and celebrate excellence.

Osanipin's recognition is a testament to his dedication and expertise in leading the NADDC.
