DG, PenCom, Ms Omolola Oloworaran to Bag Exemplary Public Service Leadership Award

The Director General of the National Pension Commission (PenCom), Ms Omolola Oloworaran, is set to receive the Exemplary Public Service Leadership Award by Democracy Newsline Newspaper to mark its 15th anniversary of publication.

The award recognizes her outstanding leadership skills and contributions to pension management in the country.

According to a press statement signed by the publisher and CEO, Chief Olugbemi Femi, Ms Oloworaran's exceptional leadership has been recognized, particularly in promoting pension administration and inclusion to reinforce customers' trust in the scheme.

He said the award will be presented during the 15th Public Lecture and Award Ceremony scheduled for August 26, 2025, adding that the ceremony will take place at the Banquet Hall, National Merit House, Maitama, Abuja on the 26 August, and will feature a Red Carpet (5pm) Ceremony, main event, (6pm) and dinner program.

The theme of the event is "The Role of Independent Media Organizations in Promoting Participatory Democracy and Good Governance in Nigeria."

The occasion will also mark the launch of a ₦100 million fund for the procurement of podcast studio equipment and the establishment of Democracy Newsline Newspaper Online Television. This initiative aims to further promote democracy and good governance in Nigeria.

The award ceremony promises to be a significant event, bringing together leaders and stakeholders to discuss important issues and celebrate excellence. Ms Oloworaran's recognition is a testament to her dedication and expertise in leading PenCom.
