Tantita Fires Back: Niger Delta Leaders Slam Jude Gbaboyor’s “Web of Lies,” Reaffirm Support for Tompolo and Otuaro
By Wilson Macaulay
A storm of condemnation has trailed recent allegations by Jude GbabooPr against Tantita Security Services, High Chief Government Ekpemupolo (popularly known as Tompolo), and the Presidential Amnesty Programme (PAP) under the leadership of Chief (Dr.) Dennis Brutus Otuaro.
In a strongly worded statement issued by Niger Delta leaders, Gbaboyor was accused of fabricating malicious claims designed to discredit the achievements of Tantita Security and undermine the peace and progress of the region.
> “Let us be clear—Tantita has not killed anyone in Rivers State, nor has it engaged in kidnapping or operated illegal detention facilities as falsely claimed by Jude. These are baseless lies aimed at sowing chaos,” the statement read
Tompolo’s Impact Lauded
Since taking the reins, Tompolo’s Tantita Security Services has been widely acknowledged for changing the narrative of security and stability in the Niger Delta. The company has been credited with stemming oil theft, curbing illegal bunkering, and reducing pipeline vandalism—major issues that had long crippled the region’s economy.
Beyond security, Tantita has also been celebrated for creating jobs, empowering youths, and giving new hope to those once lured into criminality. “This is true empowerment—giving bread and peace together,” the leaders declared.
Otuaro’s Leadership Defended
Chief (Dr.) Dennis Brutus Otuaro, PAP Coordinator, was also hailed for restoring calm and inclusivity within the Amnesty Programme. Stakeholders praised his emphasis on youth training, education, and reintegration into society.
“Since Otuaro assumed office, we have seen tangible results—not empty noise. He has carried everyone along with fairness and respect while opening doors of opportunity for Niger Delta youths,” the statement affirmed.
Warning Against Fake Narratives
Leaders urged security agencies including the Police and DSS to investigate Gbaboyor’s activities on social media, warning that such “toxic falsehoods” could destabilize the fragile peace in the region if unchecked.
They also called on Niger Delta youths to reject divisive propaganda and rally behind genuine leaders who are committed to development.
“The Niger Delta has moved forward—no one should allow bitterness or envy to drag us back. We stand firmly with Tantita, we stand with Tompolo, and we stand with Chief Otuaro,” the statement concluded.
The Big Picture
At the heart of this dispute lies the broader struggle for credibility and leadership in the Niger Delta. While detractors continue to stoke controversy, Tompolo’s results-driven approach and Otuaro’s people-focused leadership appear to have cemented their reputations as central pillars in the region’s ongoing journey toward peace, security, and sustainable development.
