Describing the occasion as both historic and symbolic, Hon. Pessu said the First Lady’s presence in Warri underscores the enduring bond between the Federal Government and traditional institutions in the Niger Delta.

“This visit is not only ceremonial; it represents a reaffirmation of unity, respect for our cultural heritage, and a demonstration of commitment to grassroots development. We are deeply honoured to receive Her Excellency in the ancient and prestigious Warri Kingdom,” Pessu stated.

He commended the First Lady for her tireless advocacy for women empowerment, social welfare, and national cohesion, noting that her initiatives have continued to inspire hope across communities in Nigeria.
